Matt and Sarah were my very first couple of 2025—and somehow, their wedding story has already come full circle ✨
I still think about Sarah’s dress change.
I started their wedding day at The Modern, the two-Michelin-starred restaurant tucked inside their building, where Sarah greeted me in a chic dress that felt like a beautiful nod to her culture. I watched her effortlessly glide from guest to guest in her Manolo Blahniks, completely at ease in the celebration.
After brunch, we took the elevator up to their private terrace overlooking The Met for their formal wedding portraits. And honestly? Everything between these two was easy. Nothing felt overly posed or performative. Just two people completely comfortable in their love.
Then we headed to their family’s apartment overlooking Central Park—and that’s where Sarah surprised everyone.
A wedding dress change into a meticulously beaded vintage gown that left the entire room speechless.
Fast forward to now, and I got to reunite with Matt and Sarah in that very same space to document something even more beautiful: the little family they’ve grown into. Watching their baby boy crawl through the room where they once exchanged vows brought everything full circle.
This is why I photograph weddings.
Not just for the wedding day, but for the years, the families, the ordinary mornings, the babies, the anniversaries—and all the chapters that come after.
My future self will dream of more families like this. More wedding stories that don’t end when the gallery is delivered. More love that gets to be documented again and again. 🤍
