The natural beauty of fall foliage provides a gorgeous backdrop for October weddings. This first look took place on a dock at Rumbling Bald at Lake Lure in Lake Lure, NC. While the wind was definitely showing off, the trees were, too! It turned out to be a perfect fall day for a wedding!

This time last year, I was up in Shelby, NC at The Banker's House (a beautiful historic home) for the wedding of Rachel & Andy! The day was filled with so much love and family! I especially loved getting to know Rachel's boys! If you have kids in your ceremony, make sure you hire a coordinator familiar with child wrangling like me!

Happy Throwback Thursday!! Last year, some of my dearest friends got married at Rumbling Bald at Lake Lure on Halloween Day! The vibes were romantic/gothic with all the warm colors of fall. The getaway car was a golf cart (they got married right on the golf course). If you're planning a holiday-themed wedding, I'd love to assist!!

October is one of my favorite wedding seasons. It's the most popular wedding month, BY FAR, in the south. The foliage is gorgeous, the weather is (normally) agreeable, and people are enjoying the break in the heat. Here's to fall bonfires, pumpkin spice lattes, and many, many "I Do" dates!

Every year, I have a couple months that book well in advance (a year plus). September is usually one of them. If you're considering a September/October wedding date, be sure to get vendors under contract quickly! They book out more quickly than, let's say, February.
