UM Opera Theatre - Ole Miss

Well, we've had an incredible season here at UM Opera! We explored Love of all types from our scenes program, "The Ties that Bind", our Aria Showcase, and our Opera production, Dan Shore's "The Beautiful Bridegroom". We had wonderful masterclass with the impeccable Angela Brown and a glorious improv masterclass with Faustino Solis.

It's going to be hard to beat this past season, but we look forward to even more fantastic experiences when we return next semester. So keep your eyes peeled for next season's announcement!

This week was phenomenal! We were honored to welcome superstar soprano Angela Brown who gave a masterclass, a Q&A session, and performed with our own Amanda Johnston on the annual Black History Month concert. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, kindness, joy, and talent with us!

Congratulations to UM Opera Theatre’s own Annabelle King who took third place in the masters level treble division at Mississippi state NATS this weekend!!!! Voice at UM was well represented by Professor Johnston’s beautifully playing. Doctors Milton, Bunt, and Robinson served as judges. Dr. Bunt and Dr. Robinson gave masterclasses.
