Some things in life are bigger than a calendar.

Over the last week, our family has been navigating some unexpected medical challenges. Between my mom’s surgery and my own health appointments, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone our Bentonville Listening-Table dinner.

This wasn’t an easy choice. We have poured so much into bringing this experience to Northwest Arkansas, and we want to show up with the energy, intention, and attention this community deserves.

Instead of August, we’ll be gathering in November. We’re finalizing the new date now and will share it as soon as it’s confirmed.

To everyone who purchased a ticket, supported us, shared the event, or simply cheered us on thank you. Your encouragement means more than you know.

Bentonville, we’re still coming. We just need a little more time, and we can’t wait to gather around the table with you this fall. ❤️

Some chefs create beautiful meals.

The best ones create a feeling.

We’re excited to welcome Chef Jeremy Putts of Carmelita Catering Co. to The Listening-Table in Bentonville.

Jeremy has been cooking since he was a kid, standing on a chair just to reach the counter. His passion for hospitality was shaped by his mother-in-law, Carmelita, whose recipes became the heart of his cooking and the inspiration behind the company that now bears her name.

What we love most is that Jeremy doesn’t believe catering is just about the food. He believes it’s about how people feel around the table. Feeling cared for. Feeling welcomed. Feeling connected.

That’s exactly why he belongs at The Listening-Table.
On August 27, Jeremy will create a multi-course dinner designed to bring people together, where every plate has a purpose and every detail is intentional.

We can’t wait for you to experience his food and hear his story.
Welcome to the table, Chef Jeremy.

The best part of Americana Music Festivals might actually by the lineup!!

It is the people you meet in the crowd, at the bar, or waiting for the next set.

That is the feeling we are trying to create at The Listening-Table.

A smaller room. An intimate performance. A beautiful dinner. And the chance to meet the people you might end up traveling to the next festival with.

Some details are meant to be announced.
Others are meant to be discovered at the table.

For our August 27 Listening-Table at Compton Gardens, we have commissioned artist Angela Vennum to create something special for each guest, inspired by the evening’s theme, The Longest Ride. Angela Vennum

Angela’s work carries the kind of story, craftsmanship, and sense of place that made her feel like the perfect partner for this experience.

We are keeping the final pieces under wraps for now, but every guest will leave with something created specifically for this one night in Bentonville.

We are so excited to welcome Angela into The Listening-Table experience.

VIP should be more than access to a fenced-off area.

We are building something smaller, more personal, and far more meaningful. A place to hear the artists you love, taste incredible food, and meet people who may become friends, collaborators, clients, or part of your next chapter.

Every seat has a story.

Around The Listening-Table, you’ll find founders sitting beside ranchers. Musicians sharing a meal with retired executives. Couples celebrating milestones. Solo guests who arrive a little nervous and leave with new friends.

What brings everyone together isn’t what they do for a living.
It’s a love for good conversation, meaningful music, incredible food, and the belief that some of life’s best moments happen around a table.

If you’ve been looking for your people, we’d love to save you a seat.

The Listening Table began with a simple belief. The right people, gathered with care, can create something larger than a beautiful dinner.

We are building a traveling community for people who love Americana music, thoughtful conversation, exceptional food, and being part of something while it is still taking shape.

Tulsa ➡️ Fort Worth ➡️ Oklahoma City ➡️ Bentonville is next.

Why does face-to-face connection matter so much right now?

Because convenience has replaced too much intimacy.
We can accomplish almost everything digitally, but we cannot fully replace what happens when people share a room, a rhythm, a conversation, and real attention.

Face-to-face connection offers something technology can’t fully duplicate: presence.

The Listening Table brings people into that presence. Around music. Around story. Around the simple but powerful act of being together.

For adults who are carrying a lot, this kind of space is not trivial. It’s deeply needed.

Who’s had a Connie Spoon hug? They are the best!
