Tuesday vs. Friday. What a difference a few days makes!

We worked until sunset and forgot to take a photo, so a midday “after” photo from today will have to do. We have ONE row left to cut down!

We’re expecting a hard freeze overnight, which means our 2026 flower season will officially be over. Well, somewhat. 🙃

Cutting down dahlias is a slow, repetitive process. We’re on the ground with snips and buckets of bleach water, sanitizing our tools between EVERY plant. We’re also double-checking labels as we go to make sure every variety is accounted for before digging begins.

Once that last row is cut, we still need to remove all the T-posts and pull up the w**d barrier throughout the field.

Dahlia digging starts next week! Then comes washing, dividing, sorting, selling, shipping, and storing our own stock for next season. Depending on tuber growth, this process will take us through the end of November, possibly into December.

And yes, our fall Mystery Dahlia Tuber Sale is coming! 🌸

We won’t know exactly how many tubers we’ll have available until we start digging and dividing, but we’re hoping for a BIG sale this year!

We’ve grown some incredible varieties this season, including Bloomquist Jean, Kelgai Ann, Peaches N’ Cream, Coralie, Sweet Nathalie, Bracken Rose, and Blizzard. We’re just as anxious as everyone else to see how the tubers developed!

Our mystery tuber sales have sold out quickly in the past, and with fall shipping, you won’t have to wait until spring to get your hands on them.

If you’ve been wanting to add more dahlias to your garden or start growing them for the first time, keep an eye on our upcoming announcements. Once we know what we have available, we’ll announce the sale!

We have a LOT of work ahead of us, and we’re excited to see what’s waiting underground! 💐

Life’s short, grow the dahlias!!

If you’re starting a flower farm or expanding your dahlia production next season, we’ve got something coming for you! 💐

We’ve spent the season growing over 7,000 dahlia plants in our Wisconsin fields, and we’re getting ready to dig and divide thousands of tubers.

Our annual Fall Mystery Tuber Sale is right around the corner!

Who’s planning to grow more dahlias in 2027? 👀

The 2026 dahlia season is officially done. We harvested our last dahlias for wedding florals yesterday morning, and now the work of preparing for our annual dahlia dig begins.

This is a slow, repetitive process. We’re on the ground cutting down each plant individually, with buckets of bleach water and multiple pairs of snips, sanitizing between every plant and double-checking that every single one is labeled before moving on to the next.

It’s tedious, time-consuming work, but when you’re growing over 100 varieties of dahlias, keeping everything organized is incredibly important.

Next up, removing the T-posts and thousands of feet of w**d barrier before we start digging tubers next week. Then comes the washing, dividing, and storing!

And for everyone waiting on our Mystery Dahlia Tuber Sale… it’s coming! Once we get a good look at this year’s tuber production, we’ll announce the sale with FALL SHIPPING!

Last year’s sale completely sold out, and quantities will depend on what we’re able to harvest this year. Keep a close eye on our page because once the sale opens, you won’t want to wait! 💐

The dahlia field. This space is one of seven fields that make up two acres of cut flowers.

Looking out over our dahlia fields, it’s hard to put into words just how much goes into a season like this.

7,000 dahlia plants. Over 100 varieties. Months of planning, planting, w**ding, watering, harvesting, and doing our best to keep up with everything that comes with growing flowers on this scale.

There were early mornings, late nights, long days in the heat, and plenty of moments when the to-do list felt impossible. Growing flowers is beautiful, but there is an incredible amount of work that happens long before anyone gets to enjoy them.

And then there are the moments that make every bit of it worth it.

Watching families walk into the fields for the first time. Seeing familiar faces return week after week. Cutting flowers for weddings and knowing they’ll be part of someone’s most important memories. Watching our kids grow up surrounded by all of this, learning what hard work looks like and being part of something we’ve built together.

What started as a piece of abandoned farmland has become so much more than we ever imagined.

To everyone who picked flowers, purchased bouquets, trusted us with their wedding florals, attended an event, shared our posts, or simply followed along this summer, thank you. You are a huge part of what makes all of this possible.

We’re proud of what we’ve grown, grateful for the people who continue to support us, and incredibly thankful that we get to share this place with so many of you.

Now comes the next big job. Cutting down 7,000 plants, digging thousands of tubers, washing, dividing, and getting ready to do it all over again.

As much as I love dahlias, I might need a few months before I’m ready to plant another 7,000. 🙃💐💕

7,000 dahlia plants. 100+ varieties. And a whole lot of tubers coming your way! 💐

We’re getting ready to start our annual dahlia dig, which means our Fall Mystery Tuber Sale is right around the corner!

Last year we sold out, and we have even more varieties growing this season.

Who’s ready to see what we’ve been growing?! 👀

It’s hard to believe our flower season is coming to an end! Our first frost of the year is expected Friday night, just in time for our annual dahlia dig.

We’ve spent months planting, growing, harvesting and sharing flowers with so many of you. We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who visited the farm, picked flowers, attended an event, purchased bouquets or simply followed along this season. Your support means so much to us, and we love seeing how many people share our love for flowers.

While we’re sad to see the blooms go, we have a LOT of work ahead of us!

Next up, digging, washing, dividing and storing tubers from 7,000 dahlia plants. And of course, getting ready for our fall mystery tuber sale! 💐

If you’re a 2027 bride picturing rich, moody autumn flowers on your wedding day, this one is for you.

There is something so special about walking into your reception and knowing your florals were hand-harvested just days before. Aside from the trailing amaranth, every single bloom you see here—especially all of those velvety dahlias—was grown right here in our own fields.

We are officially booking for our 2027 wedding season! Whether you are planning a celebration in Milwaukee, Lake Geneva, Madison, or Lake Country, we’d love to design something unforgettable for your day. Tap the link in our bio to connect and check your date.

(P.S. If you want blooms like these in your own backyard next summer, our Mystery Dahlia Tuber Sale is just around the corner—keep an eye on our page for the announcement!)
