Behind the Build Monday: The Flower Shop!
This one feels a little extra special to me.
Growing up, we lived right across the street from Black’s Flower Shop, and I absolutely loved when we got to hang out at the shop. I remember watching all the ladies sit around their big table creating the most beautiful flower arrangements. There was always something so fun about seeing all of the flowers come together!
One of my most vivid childhood memories is Grandma Black teaching us kids how to make paint out of flowers we found on the ground in the greenhouses. We would collect the fallen flowers and use them to make different colors. Such a simple thing, but it’s a memory I’ve held onto all these years.
Now, obviously the flowers at Little & Wild will be fake 😂 but who knows… maybe flower painting could become a special activity we offer someday!
Flowers have made their way into our adult lives too. Chris LOVES his garden and planting flowers every year, so a little flower shop just seemed like the perfect addition to our Little & Wild village. 🌻
Our little florists will be able to pick flowers, sort colors, arrange bouquets and create something special. 💐
