We will never be over this magical Finger Lakes reception for Liz + Jay. Every inch of this design was a meaningful collaboration with the couple and the Bride’s family, who hosted the wedding at their lakeside property.

It’s something truly special to see the Bride and the Groom reflected in all the little details - from the subtle linen patterns and lace plates, to the hand-picked custom drape colors, vintage silver, stationery fonts, flower choices, dance floor lighting scheme, and swan-topped lambeth wedding cake.

Looking back on these images by Theresa Kelly, we see not only the pretty details, but the heart and stories behind each of them.

Enchanted forest vibes juxtaposed with minimalist, modern tablescapes, a bold portmanteau logo for the couple, puppy party at Cocktail Hour, Vivienne Westwood, and a dash of the bride’s beloved Hello Kitty for good measure.

Transforming a raw industrial space to blend disparate elements in a way that felt beautifully cohesive, inviting, and meaningful was a design challenge… but kind of our jam.

Thank you, Jenn + Zack, for taking us on this journey with you. What a fun adventure it’s been!

Behind the scenes of the fireworks show at Liz + Jay’s wedding in the Finger Lakes. 🎇 We don’t post BTS content too often (some might say, not often enough) but the footage from this one felt deserving of its own place on the grid.

Most of the time, it feels like we are too busy working to have the time to get anything good. But at some weddings, a few of our team members also find ourselves strategically hidden away at prime vantage points as we line up cues - spots that no one else is at. In this case, on the balcony and down by the lake.

I now get to tell Daniel Faye Fern that making him haul those custom statues down the hill was worth the work out.

Also, this smooth sailing day would not have been possible without the lovely Niki + Corry, and our stellar team of vendors - whose artistry, dedication to the vision, and instincts were a dream. Honestly, y’all made every second feel so seamless and relaxing. The tranquil BTS videos at the end of the carousel actually do not lie.

Preview by from our destination wedding this past weekend with Liz + Jay in Skaneateles (one of the Finger Lakes).

This was incredibly special. The couple, their families, and most guests traveled from North Carolina for their wedding week in this picturesque region of upstate New York. From dinner at Sherwood Inn to a cocktail cruise on the lake, a Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party at Skaneateles Country Club, the Wedding Day itself, and farewell brunch - every event was not only beautiful but so full of extraordinary, connective in between moments.

The Wedding Day was hosted on a lakeside private estate that Liz’s family had put incredibly thought and care into readying for the event. As far as building events from the ground up goes - this might be our winner so far. The landscaping and renovations involved in the lead up were not for the faint of heart. We must have held our breaths for the whole 12 months after our first site visit, as the family sent updates on the ceremony lawn grading, grand staircase progress, wing additions to the home, and general state of the grass. We witnessed sod literally rolled out by landscapers on bare patches of dirt just days before the wedding. (SPOILER ALERT: the grass looked great. No one could tell.)

In addition, our florist grew many of the florals on her farm, so our design process with Liz + Jay began earlier than normal, to allow flowers to be planted and harvested in time.

More to come… but thank you to our Queen Liz, her charming Jay, and their families for having us. This journey with you all has been a true privilege and honor.

Sneak peek from Ningxiao + Charles’ poetically beautifully wedding weekend at last week. Artfully captured by .co.

It feels like every time we design a wedding at Prospect Park Boathouse, it threatens to pour. 🌧️ But each time, right before the Ceremony, the skies give us a reprieve - and our couple gets their special moment by the lake!

There was a moment right before the Bride walked down the aisle, when I had just finished fluffing her veil and gown. She paused and turned to look at me. I said, “You look stunning!” and gave her the signal to go. Later, I told her that I wished she could have seen herself from the back - standing framed in the arched Boathouse doorway with the lake and greenery before her. So thrilled to see that this capture made it to the preview gallery (Slide 8). Something about a quietly regal solo bridal walk always gets me.
