What started as a celebration of Teej became something even more meaningful – an opportunity to help support recovery efforts following the devastating and deadly flash floods in Nepal.

A heartfelt thank you to all our vendors, participants, volunteers, and community members who came together at Asan Bazaar’s Teej Mela and supported us.

Every contribution, donation, purchase, and gesture of support made a difference. We raised $750 and we are happy to announce that the amount has been donated to the Government of Nepal Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund (https://pmdrf.nchl.com.np/).

Thank you GORKHALI NEPALESE RESTAURANT for providing us with the venue.

We are grateful to Nepal jewelry & repair for generously donating a beautiful gift to support our fundraising efforts. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to our community.

Jai Nepal!

Asan Bazaar was created to bring our Nepali community together, but this time it became so much more than a bazaar. We came together with one goal to support our community affected by the 26 August flood in Nepal.

We’d like to extend sincere thanks to everyone who visited the Mela and supported our fundraiser. We were able to raise $750, which will be donated to the Government of Nepal Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund (https://pmdrf.nchl.com.np).

We’d also like to thank Eyewitness News, WABC-TV who covered our humble effort.

No matter how far from Nepal we are, our heart will always be there. 🇳🇵❤️ And a special thank you to NYC for welcoming us and allowing our community to come together for something so meaningful. ❤️

🌸✨ ASAN BAZAAR’S TEEJ MELA IS ON! ✨🌸

As a community, we are heartbroken by the scale of the destruction and suffering in Nepal. It is difficult to watch from afar, but rather than feel helpless, we choose to come together and do something - no matter how small, to help.

That’s why tomorrow’s Asan Bazaar's Teej Mela 2026 will also be an opportunity for us to stand together and support those affected by the devastating floods in Nepal.

🇳🇵❤️ FUNDRAISING FOR NEPAL FLOOD VICTIMS

🎟️ Fundraising Raffle – Join our raffle and help contribute to relief efforts.

🛍️ Special Sale – We will also have a special sale, with all proceeds donated to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.

Every raffle ticket, every purchase, and every act of support counts. 🙏

🌸 Come celebrate. Come shop. Come support 🇳🇵

Your presence and support will be deeply appreciated. ❤️
