Let me tell you a story.
In 2020, when the world came to a halt, Jexsy Balloons thrived while many businesses struggled or closed their doors permanently. A key to our success was our strategic business decision to use Party City. Their same-day, no-contact delivery allowed us to fulfill hundreds of small orders for clients who were eager to celebrate safely at home. Setups like this one, vibrant and full of joy, were made possible because of their products:
With the recent news of Party City’s closures, my heart goes out to the employees and families who will be affected. But the impact doesn’t stop there—Some of our balloon industry partners, many of whom rely on Party City to distribute their products, will also lose a vital source of income. This ripple effect will be felt throughout the entire industry.
As balloon artists, it’s important to remember that Party City started as a small business—just like many of us. Their growth was fueled by passion, creativity, and a commitment to their customers. The challenges they face today serve as a powerful reminder of how unpredictable business can be. If we were to face similar struggles after achieving success, we’d hope for understanding and support—not celebration at our hardships.
