🪦 GOODBYE GENGAR 😭

Riley came by The Moore Vault’s booth with his eyes set on what used to be our favorite card in the case! We’re sad to see it gone, but super excited that it went to a great home! 🤝🏠

The 1999 Japanese “Sabrina’s Gengar” featured artwork by Ken Sugimori, showing Gengar in a graveyard with tombstones and crosses. SUPER cool, right? Apparently...not everyone thought it was so cool. It was “banned” or censored for international releases, because the religious markers and graveyard scenery were deemed inappropriate or too spooky for children in the West. 🪦😱

James with Woody’s Beads was checking out these Charizard’s for a while, but couldn’t hold back any longer. We don’t blame him either. Who doesn’t love a great Zard card? 🔥🦎

These shows are such a great way to meet vendors and artists with all kinds of really cool stuff.
James brought over a couple of bead art creations for us to check out, and educated us a little bit on the process!
Such DOPE creations to see, but the camera doesn’t do them justice. Trust us...you have to see these in person! 🤯

🎥 CAMERA MADNESS AT THE MOORE VAULT 🤯

Scott, the owner of Gamers Alley, and Daniel, the Gamers Alleybeditor, stopped by The Moore Vault table to check out our setup, grab some video, and hang out for a bit.

Then things got a little crazy… our camera was filming Daniel while Daniel was filming us. So basically, we were filming a video of him filming a video of us. 😂 Mind blown.

We always appreciate the support from the Gamers Alley crew and everyone who stops by the table!

Another awesome moment from Greg’s donated binder!

Editor Greg donated a binder full of some really nice cards for us to give back to the community, and we got to put it to good use at the show. The kiddos who stopped by got to look through the giveaway binder and pick out several cards to take home completely FREE.

Seeing their faces light up while choosing their favorites is what makes moments like this so much fun. Sometimes something as simple as a few Pokémon cards can make someone’s entire day.

Huge thank you to Greg for the donation and for helping us create these moments at The Moore Vault!

Editor Greg came ready to TRADE!

Greg, editor of The Moore Vault, stopped by the booth on the hunt for anything Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venusaur. He brought a HUGE stack of trades for Slick and me to go through, and after evaluating everything, we put together a fair offer.

We ended up taking in an awesome Psyduck, traded away our 151 Bulby, and Slick made a BIG offer on the rest of the singles before working out a trade for the Tag Team!

A lot of cards changed hands on this one, and Greg walked away adding some awesome pieces to his Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Venusaur collection.

We’re always down to look through trades and make something happen!

🍪 COOKIES, CARDS & AN AWESOME SURPRISE!

Greg, our editor here at The Moore Vault, stopped by our most recent Gamers Alley Minicon show and came bearing gifts!

His wonderful wife made a HUGE bag full of homemade cookies for the team — and needless to say, they were a massive hit. The team and our friends definitely made sure none went to waste!

But Greg didn’t stop there. He also donated a binder FULL of awesome Pokémon cards for us to give away as we see fit at upcoming shows.

That means more opportunities for us to hand out cards, surprise some kids, help new collectors get started, and continue giving back to the TCG community. We can’t wait to start putting these cards into the hands of collectors at our upcoming events!

Joseph with Megatons Vault stopped by before the Gamers Alley Mini Con kicked off, and we got a vendor-to-vendor trade done!

We love making these trades before a show starts. It’s a great way for both vendors to switch up inventory, bring something fresh to the showcase, and help each other out. We’re typically down for market-to-market trades when the deal makes sense for both sides.

Our good friend Jacob with Firm Hand Shakes stopped by and picked up this Lugia V PSA 10!

Instead of settling on a price, we let the coin decide — $220 or $240. And of course, I conveniently had a Lugia coin ready for the occasion. 😂

We ended up winning the flip at $240, but Jacob still got a great deal on an awesome card that’s heading straight to the PC!
