The regular submission deadline for Kinetoscope 14 is ONE MONTH away! Let us showcase and celebrate your film to Montana audiences this January! 🎬

ABOUT:
We are celebrating 14 years of Kinetoscope: International Screendance Film Festival as Montana’s premiere dance film festival! Created in 2013, the festival consistently presents the best of screendance from around the world. Over the past 13 years, we have screened hundreds of international dance films for Montana’s vastly underserved dance audiences. The festival is presented and curated by Montana’s only full-season professional dance company, Bare Bait Dance, at its home venue, Westside Theater, in Missoula’s Westside neighborhood.

Our primary intent is to screen films that exemplify the most exciting and innovative and inspiring video and dance collaborations from around the world. We celebrate the diversity in the screendance field and are open to films with a variety of styles, themes, and approaches.

Through grant support, sponsorships, donors, and other funding, we can keep our classes as accessible as possible, providing the opportunity to bring for MORE DANCE into your life!

🍁Fall Community Class Series begins NEXT WEEK!🍁

Designed for the adult mover who wants to explore contemporary modern technique, classes are offered in 6-week sessions to allow for a safe progression of movement concepts that help build confidence week to week!

BodyCraft: Youth ChoreoLAB begins in just under one week, and we're buzzing with excitement!

Here are our top 5 reasons to sign your child up for BodyCraft!:

1️⃣ BodyCraft's final performance has been strategically scheduled in February to avoid the busy schedules of other spring activities.

2️⃣ BodyCraft dancers take an active role in creating and choreographing the final performance.

3️⃣ With collaboration being at the heart of BodyCraft, dancers will find their creative voice through collaboration, creativity, play, and storytelling.

4️⃣ From movement and storytelling to set and costume design, BodyCraft invites dancers to imagine the world of their performance from the inside out.

5️⃣ Dancers will perform in the same space where classes take place. Dancers get to see their creative work grow from an idea in the studio into a live theatrical experience.

A Missoula native, Mikal Kenfield trained at several local dance studios before leaving the mountains to dance, teach, and coach throughout North Dakota and Minnesota. A founding member and principal dancer with the Fargo-Moorhead Ballet and longtime instructor at Gasper's School of Dance, she is passionate about helping adults find connection, creativity, and joy through movement.
