We have a lot of wildlife here at The Oaks, and the lake has been the home of a couple of blue heron for years now. Recently, one of the herons was injured and had to be taken to Carolina Waterfowl Rescue His friend has been so sad trying to find him, he sits perched on the lake (pic below) or spends time flying around calling out for him 😢. We hope he can recover and be released back to his home. Carolina Waterfowl Rescue operates purely on donations, so if you would like to help out this great organization in Indian Trail, you can make a donation here http://www.cwrescue.org/donate
We hope our heron will be home soon 💕
