Have you ever wonder where this tradition came from?

This is a tradition that dates back to the Dark Ages, guest used to rip apart the brides dress (after she has removed it, hopefully) to take a piece home with hopes it would bring them good luck! 😳 Thankfully this tradition has changed to what it is today! According to the article/s, this is actually where the bouquet toss came from as well! 💐

The Bustle!! This is something that has to be done on your wedding day and usually on the fly! There are also so many different ways to bustle your dress depending on who did your alterations and the style of dress. Make sure you ask questions at your last fitting to help your planner or your bridesmaids to get you bustled properly. How many ties/clips/buttons/hooks are there, are they color coordinated or numbered? Which one should you start with? You can also record your seamstress doing the bustle, so you can show whomever is planning to do this, how to.
As you can see from this picture, this is normally a fun bonding moment between myself and the bride! 😂

I have been waiting to share this story for this day!! ❤️ (well yesterday, but you get the point)
Last year when the world was starting to go crazy and we were so unsure of how things would progress, I was planning Christina & Seth’s wedding!! Their original date was 03/27/20, we knew towards the beginning of March that we were not going to be able to go along with the original plan. So a new plan had to take place, with the stay at home order going into effect that Friday the 26th, they decided to get married at their local church in Matthews on Thursday the 25th! Christina and myself met at Charlotte Flower Market to get flowers for bouquets and boutonnières, something I had never created myself! You wouldn’t think that looking at these pictures!! We killed it! 💐
Moving Mountains Studios came in to capture this beautiful day!! And wow! These pictures are something else!! 😍
I am overjoyed at the time I have gotten to spend with this amazing family, and I can’t wait until next year for the when we will get to celebrate this awesome couple with their family and friends!
