It’s a rare opportunity to engage in something unique, fun, and vibrant while supporting a meaningful cause. The Magic Hour Foundation holds a special place in my heart. Not only is it managed by my dear friend, but its mission is to assist cancer warriors by offering them free photo shoots to capture moments with their families, pets, and themselves. Having had family members affected by cancer, I know how profoundly it impacts so many lives. While this may seem like a small gesture, it truly makes a difference—it brings hope and spreads love.

I also want to highlight how amazing it was to create Floral magic for a 90s-themed event! The nostalgia was palpable, allowing us to relive cherished childhood memories. However, the most remarkable aspect was the incredible individuals in that room. I feel so fortunate to be part of an industry where friends genuinely support one another.

To my friend Jennifer, I’m incredibly proud of you. Thank you for being such an amazing friend and for your unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in the world.

Happy Friday, everyone! As I embark on my rebranding journey to House of Dahlia, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself. My name is Christopher Plaza, and I am an artist, empath, business owner, visionary, floral designer, and producer.

Many of you have asked why I transitioned from Bride Candy to House of Dahlia. As I grow and evolve, so does my brand. While I cherished Bride Candy, it no longer resonated with who I am today or who I aspire to be tomorrow.

In contemplating this new chapter, I sought a name that embodies my aesthetic and reflects my humble beginnings as a young boy who loved playing with flowers in my father’s garden. The inspiration struck when I received a package from my dad. Earlier that year, I had gifted him dahlia bulbs, and by October, his garden was bursting with their vibrant blooms. Feeling homesick, he overnighted me a stunning bouquet of dahlias from his garden, and that’s how the name came to be.

To me, floral design is so much more than just beautiful flowers; it’s a love language, a poem, an experience that celebrates love. Thank you all for your support on this journey. I look forward to sharing this new chapter of my story with you!
