What a weekend at the Jasper's Splash Zone for the Colorado K9 Classic in Lafayette, CO! 🐾🌊
The dock was packed, the jumps were big, and these pups definitely came ready to make a splash! From flying dogs to proud handlers, it was another weekend full of great competition, big moments, and plenty of fun. 🤩

What a weekend! We want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out to compete, volunteer, cheer, help, laugh, run, jump and play with us!
We had beautiful weather (ok, minus a little heat, wind and rain), an amazing group of people and dogs, lots of personal bests, some exciting young up-and-coming dogs, and plenty of our oldies-but-goodies showing everyone they’ve still got it! ❤️
And, of course… DUELING! 🙌 Always a blast! It was especially great to have diehard dueler Brian Landers and his dogs back out there with us!
Now for the long part—and we make no apologies, because these people deserve the recognition. 😊
This event simply would not happen without our volunteers. We know your time is valuable, and when you give up your workdays, evenings and weekends to help us put on an event for everyone else, it means more than we can say.

A special thank you to Linda Torson, who gets our event set up and somehow continues to put up with all of my emails and requests! 😂

Thank you to everyone who showed up Wednesday and Thursday to transform the Zone and get us ready for competition.
A HUGE shout-out to LG and Mary Beth, who took Thursday AND Friday off and then continued helping throughout the entire weekend. Seriously—what would I have done without you?! (Did I tell you THANK YOU for my Pink Drinks too!!)
And our HOF crew, Kathy and Greg Willis, who are ALWAYS ready to jump in and get ’er done—even if it's Camaro RS style! 😂
And Sherry Daniels, who walks in on DAY 1, sees what needs to be done and just DOES IT. ❤️

A big thank you to our announcers Tracy, Ashley and Jennifer for keeping things moving, keeping us informed and keeping the energy up!
And we need to recognize three very special members of our extended Team Jasper family: Jennifer, Izzy and Ashley.
These three aren't showing up because they're there to compete with their own dogs. They show up to help YOU compete with yours. That says a lot.
Jennifer makes the trek from Colorado Springs every year just to help us. She does an amazing job announcing on Sunday and helps keep us on track during that crazy final day of competition.
Izzy was out there helping in countless ways AND taking pictures for us—even after recently having knee surgery!
And Ashley, whom we first met many, many years ago as a junior handler, was everywhere this weekend: Dock General, EV bumper setter, SR runner, behind-the-scenes helper and after-hours crew. You name it, she was probably doing it.

🍕 And an extra-special shout-out to LG, who made sure our volunteer crew was FED all weekend! With everything going on during an event, stopping to figure out food is about the last thing anyone has time for. LG took care of ordering and coordinating meals so our hardworking crew could refuel and keep going. Thank you for taking such good care of us! ❤️
And Cheri who made sure our coolers were full with drinks to hydrate our crew.
❤️ And we have to give an extra-special shout-out to Laura.
Laura put in THOUSANDS of steps this weekend helping us, but what stood out most wasn't how much she did—it was that she was constantly coming back and asking, “What else can I do? What else do you need help with?”
And she really DID IT ALL! From stocking bathrooms and taking out trash to running bumpers, setting EV and jumping in wherever we needed another set of hands—Laura was there.
There are so many little jobs that have to happen behind the scenes to keep an event like this running, and Laura never waited to be asked. She just kept looking for the next way she could help.
Laura, we saw you, we appreciated you, and we are SO grateful for everything you did for Team Jasper and our competitors this weekend. THANK YOU! ❤️🐾

A lot of you may not know just how much Rich does because so much of it happens behind the scenes.
Before the event. During the event. After everyone leaves.
He does EVERYTHING to help make this event successful, and he's every bit as passionate about making it the best experience possible for our competitors and their dogs. Team Jasper couldn't do it without him. Heck, no one would be Dueling period without him. ❤️
And to ALL OF OUR COMPETITORS...
You truly are the best.
We've hosted these events for several years now, and this one felt particularly special. The camaraderie, sportsmanship and cheering for one another was incredible to watch.
Year after year, we're grateful to have a COMMUNITY of competitors and dog lovers who genuinely care about one another—and about our facility. Even cleanup after the event is easier because you guys take care of the Zone and pick up after your dogs. We notice, and we appreciate it!
At the end of the day, that's what dog sports should be about:
Great dogs. Great people. A little friendly competition. A LOT of cheering. And a whole lot of fun. 💦🐾
