We are very excited and proud to share some amazing news our facilities manager Rafael Ortiz has officially received the 2025–2026 Top Shop Award for Excellence in Mechanical Operations for Spare Time Madison! 🏆🎉
This is an incredible and well-deserved accomplishment. Rafael’s dedication to our facility and our team goes far beyond Mechanical Operations. Whether he is keeping our equipment running, helping in the kitchen, supporting another department, or stepping in to take care of our guests, Rafael is always willing to do whatever is needed.
One statement from Rafael really says it all:
“I treat Spare Time like I treat my home.”
Anyone who works alongside Rafael knows that he truly lives by those words. He takes tremendous pride in this building, cares about the people around him, and consistently goes above and beyond. His work ethic, mechanical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and willingness to help others have made a huge impact on our success here in Madison.
I also want to recognize Rafael’s family — his wife, Desiree, and his daughters, Derallies, Yeneisy, and Jahn for the support they have given him throughout his journey.
