A few days late. 😳

Texas Outlaw Country Legend Dale Watson and his lovely wife Celine Lee made a special trip to California in August to announce the return the music Awards in Austin in 2027

This beautifully edited reel was created by James Milner from footage shot at Sassafras Saloon on 8/17/2026 . Thank you David Wh***ey for the main camera footage and to Alan Dyer for the sound

Brea Burns and West of Texas paid tribute to George Jones on eve of his 95th Birthday in Hollywood at the iconic Sassafras Saloon

George Jones is easily the greatest Country singer of all time and has inspired so many Country musicians that we thought it would be fun to showcase some West Coast Country indie bands that are influenced by his music.

West of Texas, led by Jerry Zinn is about as classic 70s Country as you can get. Jerry's band hosts an annual Urban Cowboy night in Los Angeles, has been nominated for the prestigious Ameripolitan Weekender & Awards Show Award ( 2023) and produces concept albums as old school as you can with Analog tape and old style vinyl jackets.

Jerry is joined on stage by the H***y Tonk Queen of Phoenix AZ, Brea Burns. Brea has become a favorite of the Los Angeles Country Music scene for her pure H***y Tonk music and TwoStep focused sets.

Thank you Trent Miko and David Wh***ey for the awesome work on this Reel

The George Jones 95th Birthday Bash was a Grand Ole Country Bunker production
