Event Planner PSA 🚨: Questions I Definitely Do Not Want to Hear on Event Day 🤦♀️
I love what I do… I really do. But when event day arrives, I am running on timelines, caffeine, and pure determination. So when my phone starts buzzing with these questions… whew. 😅
For the sake of my sanity (and yours), here’s a friendly list of questions that should absolutely not be asked on the day of the event:
“What should I wear?”
If we talked about a dress code, please refer to that conversation. If not… please wear clothes. Event-appropriate clothes.
“What time does it start again?”
The same time it said on the invite. And the reminder. And the follow-up email. Nothing changed overnight, promise.
“What are you wearing?”
Chaos. Headset. Comfortable shoes. You, however, should dress like you plan to have a good time.
“Where is it again?”
The location did not move. The venue did not relocate in the middle of the night. Google Maps still works.
“Who’s all going?”
I’m not doing a roll call while managing vendors, setups, and my blood pressure. You’ll find out when you get there—surprise! 🎉
“What do I bring?”
Yourself. On time. With good energy. Anything else was already communicated (several times).
“Can I bring someone with me?”
On event day? Absolutely not. We do not do pop-up guests.
“What if I’m running late?”
Then… you will arrive late. The event will not pause, rewind, or wait for you. Wild, I know.
“Do I need to check in?”
Yes. Always yes. That’s how events stay organized and how I keep my last nerve intact.
“Is there parking?”
An excellent question. Unfortunately, today is not the day.
Please know this is said with love 😄 If you’re asking, it just means you’re excited—but on event day, I am in full production mode.
So do me a favor:
✔️ Re-read the invite
✔️ Check your emails/texts
✔️ Save day-of calls for real emergencies only
Once the doors open, I promise—I’m all smiles. Until then… please stop texting me 😌💃✨
