Think vintage hunting lodge meets classic Ralph Lauren-inspired style—rich plaids, warm wood tones, ducks, deer, a little fishing, and those collected, timeless details that make everything feel cozy and special.

But this time, we’re softening it all up to celebrate a sweet mom-to-be and her baby boy. 💙

It’s outdoorsy without feeling overly themed, masculine but still beautiful, and just the right amount of extra. 😉

I can’t show you too much yet, but I have a feeling this one is going to be GOOD.

A little peek at what I’ve been up to at my “day job.”

We recently hosted a Catalina W**e Mixer themed networking event for the oilfield, and this one was SO much fun to put together.

We leaned all the way into the theme—nautical flags hanging overhead, Step Brothers inspired pictures and little details throughout the space, themed table arrangements, and of course, all things Catalina W**e Mixer.

And the photo backdrop?! The Balloon Zone absolutely nailed it and brought the whole thing together.

This is one of my favorite parts of event planning—taking a theme that could easily feel a little cheesy and finding ways to make it fun, intentional and still look GOOD. Whether it’s an oilfield networking mixer, a birthday party, a shower or a dinner with friends, the details are what create the atmosphere.

✨ Tomorrow we enter my favorite kind of chaos...

Birthdays + showers + Halloween + fall entertaining + holiday parties coming FAST. 🍂🥂🎃🎄

And I am SO ready for it.

The next few months mean my calendar gets fuller, my storage building gets messier, my car is permanently packed with décor, and there’s a very good chance I’ll be blowing up balloons at midnight.

But this is the season I LOVE.

Beautiful tables.
Candles everywhere.
Layered linens.
Balloons stuffed into every available inch of my car.
Personalized details.
Holiday sparkle.
And, obviously, at least one slightly unnecessary thing that makes the whole party fabulous. ✨

🍂 IF I WERE HOSTING: First Fall Dinner

The second it starts getting dark a little earlier, I’m ready for candles, w**e and dinner outside. 🤎

If I were hosting my first fall dinner of the season, I’d keep it warm, cozy and just a little extra... because obviously.

Think:

✨ A long table outside — if Texas decides to cooperate
🕯️ Lots and LOTS of candlelight
🤎 Layered linens in warm neutrals and fall tones
🌿 Wood textures mixed with pretty glassware
💐 Seasonal flowers that feel loose and gathered
🍷 Seasonal drink
🍂 And a cozy fall menu that makes you want to stay at the table way too long

I’d add soft blankets over the backs of the chairs, music playing in the background and probably more candles than any reasonable person needs.

Because my favorite kind of party isn’t always the big one.

Sometimes it’s just a beautiful table, good food, a few of your favorite people and an ordinary evening that you decided to make feel special.

✨ THINGS I WILL ALMOST ALWAYS SAY YES TO AT A PARTY…

Beautiful linens? Yes.

Candles? Always. 🕯️

Real glassware? Absolutely. 🥂

Flowers? Obviously. 🌸

A signature drink? It would almost be rude not to. 🍸

Personalized little details? Every. Single. Time.

And one slightly unnecessary thing that makes everyone say,
“Okayyyy… this is fabulous.” ✨

Because that’s usually the thing that makes the whole party.

I love a beautiful table.
I love layers.
I love thoughtful details.
And I firmly believe there should always be one thing that’s a little extra.

🎈 BEHIND THE SCENES: What you didn’t see…

You saw the finished tables, the balloons, the details and a beautiful celebration of 80 years. 🖤✨

What you didn’t see…

Me staying up way too late blowing up balloons so they’d still look fresh for the party. 🎈

Putting together the giant 8 & 0 and wondering more than once why I choose to do these things to myself.

Stuffing ALLLL of it into my car like a giant game of Tetris…and driving to the venue praying I didn’t hear a POP from the back.

Unloading everything in nearly 100-degree Texas heat.

ONE HOUR (or less) to get everything set up.

One. Hour.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that…trying to figure out why the tribute video that worked perfectly beforehand suddenly decided it had other plans. Because of course it did. 🤦🏼‍♀

But we made it happen.

The balloons went up.
The tables came together.
The video played.
The guests arrived.

And suddenly all the late-night balloon blowing, sweating, hauling, troubleshooting and rushing around disappeared.

Because in the end, there was a beautiful room filled with people celebrating a pretty incredible milestone:

80 YEARS. 🥂

And that is the part that makes every crazy behind-the-scenes moment worth it.

🎃✨ IF I WERE HOSTING: PUMPKINS & PJs

If I were hosting a Pumpkins & PJs Party, I wouldn't want it to feel like an event.

I'd want it to feel like the coziest fall night you never wanted to end.

Picture this...

A long wooden table in the backyard tucked beneath the trees, with fairy lights twinkling overhead and lanterns glowing all around.

Real dishes. Cloth napkins. Candles. Pumpkins. And a soft, cozy blanket waiting on the back of every chair.

🍲 For dinner:
A cozy soup bar with a few different soups and warm, buttery grilled cheeses for dipping.

🍎 To drink:
Hot apple c***r AND caramel apple sangria. Because obviously we need both.

🍿 For snacking:
A popcorn bar with all the toppings and mix-ins.

🍏 For something sweet:
A caramel apple bar where everyone can make their own, plus a dessert table filled with ALL THINGS PUMPKIN.

Pumpkin bread. Pumpkin cookies. Pumpkin cupcakes. Pumpkin cheesecake bites... you get the idea. 🎃

✨ The little extra:
A pumpkin at every place setting for each guest to decorate while we eat, talk and probably laugh way too much.

And when dinner is over?

Grab your blanket, refill your c***r, get another dessert and settle in for an outdoor screening of Practical Magic 2 under the fairy lights. ✨🌙

No rushing.

No fancy clothes.

Just warm blankets, comfort food, glowing lanterns, a beautiful table and some of your favorite people.

Cozy. A little magical. And, of course, just a little extra.

Honestly... I may have just talked myself into actually hosting this one. 🎃
