WNY’s best FREE outdoor theatre event of the summer is coming to Kenan this July!

Ranging from the histories, to the tragedies, and to the comedies, Shakespeare in Delaware Park has been entertaining WNY audiences for nearly 50 years, as high-quality public theatre to enrich, educate, and entertain through the works of the iconic playwright William Shakespeare. With stories and characters that have remained immortal in the Western canon and in our hearts, Shakespeare’s works have remained a cornerstone of English literature for hundreds of years.

Join us this July 22, 2026, at the Kenan Center’s outdoor stage in Daisy’s Garden to watch their performance of “Shakespeare’s Fools & Foes”. This is a show which features several selected scenes of Shakespeare’s most iconic “fools” and “foes” who brought his plays to life. Fast-paced and family-friendly, this is the perfect summer evening activity for all ages to enjoy!

Just bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the show!

Elyse C. Wall’s pottery speaks for itself in its entirely unique textures. Through her creations, she shows that movement isn’t restricted to conventional shapes or traditional forms found in pottery. Experimenting with intricately carved lines and varying shades of colors to achieve her personal style in her products, Elyse molds and carves each piece with true attention to detail, showing art lovers how she views the way clay should be molded: with depth, intricacy, and a true appreciation for the medium.

At the Kenan Center, we provide everything your child needs to ensure they have a fulfilling summer when school’s out. Sports, arts, play, games - you think it, we’ve got it. Read all about it & register below:

Daisy's Summer Day Camp is a dynamic, whole-child program focused around arts, culture, recreation, education, and sports. Each day blends creative expression, active play, hands-on learning, and unstructured fun.

With a strong emphasis on social-emotional learning, campers build confidence, teamwork, and friendships in a safe, inclusive, and joyful environment.

For kids entering grades 1 through 7.
9 weeks: Monday, June 29 - Friday, August 28
Week 1: Monday, June 29 - Thursday, July 2
Weeks 2 - 9: Monday - Friday
8:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Cost Per Week: $250.00
Time: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Lunch & Breakfast included!
There is a hard cap at 48 kids per week (DON'T WAIT!)
Counselor/Camper ratio is 8:1

100 American Craftsmen - Artisan Spotlight: HW Fine Arts

There’s something so calming about the presence of a watercolor painting. The colors blend and flow in such a natural way, they make everything feel at peace all of a sudden. For self-taught watercolor artist Holly Wentlent, she aims for viewers to see her works as approachable, intentional, and lived with, setting herself apart from believers that paintings need to be stiff or extremely traditional to be considered meaningful. Meaning is found in many diverse ways, and for Holly, that meaning has been discovered in her love of creating her own watercolor landscapes. It is where she is most at peace, and where everything falls into place for her.

Rooted in strong composition, thoughtful color choices, and familiar yet not cliché subjects, Holly’s watercolor creations are truly a serene and thoughtful experience.

Local stories of Vietnam need to be heard.

"I Was There: Unknown Stories of Vietnam" opens at the Kenan Center July 5th.

We are so fortunate to have Mary Brennan-Taylor, Ellen Martin, and the Lockport Public Arts Council preserving these voices. These are our neighbors, our families, our community members who served bravely overseas. Their mementos, photos, and stories will be on display in their words. Alongside the exhibit, a full slate of events, including roundtables, performances, the Traveling Vietnam Wall, and more ensure these powerful stories live and breathe for generations to come.
