TODAY FROM 1PM to 4PM: As a part of the Kenan Gallery exhibit, “I Was There: Unknown Stories of Vietnam,” the Stoll Brothers will be playing Vietnam Era music to commemorate the end of our calendar of free exhibit events, and the last day the Moving Wall replica will be ay the Kenan Center.

To honor those who gave their lives with the universal language of music is something we cherish. Touch their names. Remember their sacrifice. Welcome them home.

We are officially ONE WEEK AWAY from the Grand Opening of the Kenan Civic Arena!

You’re invited to join us in this FREE celebration of this amazing new building, in which we will cut the ribbon and officially open the brand-new KCA to the public! The Grand Opening festivities will include several vendors, games, musicians, a chance to connect with our mural artist, and so much more. Be among the first to experience what has been months and months of planning, construction, and collaboration to make this beautiful new part of the Kenan Center possible for us.

We hope to see you there, and that you will come and celebrate this next chapter of Kenan with us!

COMEDY FRIDAY: Kenan After Dark welcomes Shane Torres to the Taylor Theatre for a night of stand-up-comedy on Friday, October 23, 2026.

Shane was the co-host of the massively successful podcast No Accounting For Taste. He tours frequently performing in comedy clubs, theaters, and music venues across the states.

In March 2019 his Comedy Central web series Shane Torres Conquers Fear was released. In 2023 Shane Torres released his first one-hour special titled The Blue Eyed Mexican. The special was produced by Bert and Leeann Kreischer and ended up on Vulture’s top ten special list for 2023.

He has been reviewed by numerous media outlets including The New York Times, Onion A.V. Club, GQ UK, and more.

“Mr. Torres has a laconic drawling delivery with deliberate pacing, placing him firmly in the tradition of dry deadpan specialists like Tig Notaro and Todd Barry. Our Daisy’s Summer Day Campers took to the stage for the end of summer talent show! From singers to dancers to magicians, this was a show that was full of pure joy and true support for each other with a round of applause after every single act. Thank you to parents who came to watch their kids perform, and thank you to our awesome campers for participating in our last big camp event!

This fall, we're adding new ways to get together & compete. Share with a friend you'd like to compete with (or against)!

These clubs are designed for players with some experience who are ready for competition. While meant for ages 13-17, younger players at an appropriate skill level may join by request.

Clubs are meant for competitive games & mini-tournaments. Coaches will be on-court to assist with rules knowledge, handle disputes and logistics, and provide tips and guidance.

Clubs are NOT instructional classes.

This morning, our local Vietnam Veterans took part in putting together the Moving Wall, one piece at a time. To see those who risked their lives for our country carrying and honoring the names of those who did not come home was truly a healing and profound experience, for all of us here at Kenan.

Thank you to these wonderful Veterans for their service, for shouldering the memories of Vietnam, and for their undeniable courage and bravery. And, thank you to Mary Brennan-Taylor and Ellen Martin for all their hours of work and dedication to design and curate our fantastic Vietnam exhibit in the Kenan Gallery.

And now, the Moving Wall is up for all to see. We invite you to come touch their names, remember their sacrifice, and welcome them home.

The Moving Wall will be at the Kenan Center on the field across from the old Montessori building (soon to be The Village at Kenan) from 8/27 to 8/30, open to the public all day and night.

School Supply Giveaway! 🎒✏️

The Village at Kenan is hosting its first event, made possible by Catholic Health's school supply drive!

Starting tomorrow at 10 AM, stop by The Village at Kenan to pick up free school supplies. Look for Ashley and her table out front at 433 Locust St.
