"Beautiful emotions linger in the spirit, even when memory can't remind us" - Cynthia Pegado, Director of Artpark Bridges and the facilitator of our ongoing Memory Cafe series Sensing Here & Now.

Right here on the Artpark Terrace, people living with dementia and their care partners experience the ephemeral art of connection, of sensing here & now while shaping their own unique contributions. Our 12th Sensing Here & Now memory café inspired active collaboration with harpist Katherine Berquist last month.

Our next session is just a week away on Wednesday, October 22 at 1:30PM. Visit artpark.net for more info.

Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day!

Today, we honor and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples, with special recognition of the Indigenous communities whose impact is deeply woven into the fabric of the Niagara region. Their stewardship of the land, their traditions, and their enduring presence continue to shape and enrich this area in countless ways.

We would also like to thank everyone who joined us for our Indigenous Stories by the Fire event on Sunday, and for supporting our Indigenous programs this season. We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside partners within our community to help share and celebrate Indigenous culture.
