📚✨ TAKE A BOOK ON A BLIND DATE ✨📚

Our new Blind Books and Baskets are carefully curated, beautifully wrapped surprise reads designed for book lovers, gift givers, and anyone looking to discover something unexpected. Each one includes thoughtful details, small keepsakes, and a hidden book waiting to be unwrapped.

Right now, this is a trial run. If people love them, we’d like to grow the collection and eventually source books, bookmarks, artwork, and other additions exclusively from local artists and makers throughout Larchmont and Westchester County.

So tell us what you think: Would you buy a blind book? What genres would you like to see next?

🏆 WE ARE ABSOLUTELY OVER THE MOON. 🏆

This year, The Flower Bar was honored to be recognized across multiple local publications and community awards, including Best of Westchester 2026 Winner, Daily Voice Readers’ Choice Winner, Best of Tri-County, and Community Votes New Rochelle Winner.

The Powderpuff roses deserved their own moment… maybe our new favourite variety (sorry Moab)!
Soft blush layers, pops of raspberry anemone, and all the pink-on-pink spring tones we can’t stop reaching for lately. Romantic, airy, and just playful enough to feel like it belongs on a dinner table with candles burning and nowhere to be tomorrow.

One thing I absolutely love about this gallery is that it tells the whole story; from the bridal bouquet and snowy ceremony chuppah to the sweetheart table, reception florals, and every thoughtful detail in between.
The unexpected snowfall at this Hudson Valley wedding felt straight out of a movie, and I can’t stop coming back to the first photo… and that last portrait by the window. If you’re planning a wedding in Westchester County, the Hudson Valley, or Connecticut, this is exactly why we believe wedding flowers should be designed as a complete experience, not just a bouquet.

White flowers, black centers, and one stubborn tulip leaf. Monochromatic designs are never as simple as they look.
This arrangement is built almost entirely from shades of white and ivory, letting the dark navy-black centers of the anemones do all the talking.
And if you look closely, you’ll notice a green tulip leaf partially covering one of those centers.

In real life, it adds movement and depth. In a photo? It can look like it’s blocking the “perfect” shot.
One of the funny things about floral design is that arrangements are made to be experienced from every angle, not frozen into a single frame. Sometimes the details that make a piece feel natural and alive are the same details that challenge the camera.
We left it exactly as it was.

Peach called… and we answered.
There’s something about a monochromatic palette that feels effortlessly elegant. Layers of peach, apricot, coral, and soft orange tones come together here with garden roses, ranunculus, and delicate seasonal blooms for a design that feels both fresh and full of movement.
Monochromatic arrangements can be deceptively simple, but when every bloom sits within the same color family, texture, shape, and tone become the stars of the show.

And for anyone curious: the first photo is our edited version, while the second is straight out of the camera. We love showing both; the flowers do most of the heavy lifting either way.

A little peek behind the curtain of our design process.
One of my favorite parts of planning wedding flowers is creating a custom mood board for each couple. It gives us a shared vision before a single stem is ordered; from the colour palette and flower varieties to details like the coloured taper candles, glassware, and overall atmosphere of the day.

Swipe to see how this May wedding came to life: soft pastel florals, sky blue taper candles woven throughout the reception, and a cake moment that looked like it stepped right out of the original inspiration board. There’s something incredibly satisfying about seeing those early ideas turn into a real celebration.

Planning a wedding, shower, or special event in Westchester County, NY or Fairfield County, CT? We’d love to help bring your vision to life. 🌸

A little behind-the-scenes of the photos you usually see on our feed.
Swipe to see the before and after. The second image is straight from the camera, while the first is the finished edit. Nothing added, nothing removed; just a little color correction and polishing to help the arrangement look the way it did in person.
We’ve been sharing a lot of soft pastels and bright garden-style designs lately, so this moodier palette felt like a fun change of pace. Deep burgundy roses, mauve carnations, rich textures, and a little bit of drama.

Which version do you prefer: the edited photo or the original?

Obsessed with designing in our new Jorvik White Ceramic Fish Bowls from lately! They have that perfect soft, sculptural shape that makes garden-style florals feel airy, modern, and a little bit romantic all at once.

Swipe through for the full story: professionally edited photo, the completely unedited original, and the behind-the-scenes design moment while this arrangement was coming to life at the studio. No Real flowers, real texture, real movement, and a floral designer balancing stems one bloom at a time.

Currently on a monochromatic design kick and honestly… no plans to stop anytime soon!
Soft iris, clematis, lisianthus, and spring textures arranged in a stone planter because lately we’ve been loving florals that feel a little whimsical, a little overgrown, and very “found in a garden at golden hour.” More colour-focused pieces coming soon.
