Common Table

Common Table Personal Chef Services & Meal Delivery in the Hudson Valley & New York City We know, it’s a lot of hyphens. In short, our food tastes good because it is good.

Common Table is a queer & flexible food space in Kingston, NY, founded by Chef Emmet Moeller. We offer personal chef services, weekly prepared meals, boutique catering, and the best damn bone broth you’ve likely ever tasted. OUR FOOD IS LOCALLY-SOURCED, ORGANICALLY-GROWN, PLANT-FORWARD, SEASONALLY-ALIGNED AND HEALTH SUPPORTIVE. To us, “health supportive food” is food that makes you feel well — and

we want to help people feel well! To that end: we cook using little-to-no refined sugars, additives, or commercially processed products. We use heart healthy fats, a diversity of plant-based proteins, whole grains, and sustainably-raised animal products. Health supportive food is also food that was made by people working under good conditions, which we factor into our sourcing practices. We also work hard to make our kitchen a good place to be.

MAJOR MILESTONE ALERT:

Thanks to the support of our Full Fridge Club customers, we have been able to put over 4,000 meals into the Kingston Community Free Fridges since we began the project in Sept 2022.

Our goal was to create a meal subscription service with a mission: supporting local farmers and helping fight food insecurity in our community. Every week, for each customer we cook for, we put a container of nutritious and delicious prepared food into the free fridge.

We are so proud and grateful to be able to help bridge resources in this way, and we couldn't do it without the support of our Full Fridge Club customers. Also HUGE shoutouts to for lending her time and energy and culinary prowess to this project, for the generous donations of organic produce seconds, the fine folks at for hosting and maintaining the Blue Fridge (where we drop our food most frequently) and the crew at Common Table for their dedication to this element of our work. And thank you to everyone who accesses the fridges and welcomes nourishment from their community.

It takes a village, y'all! Keep on trucking! Check out Full Fridge Club at the link in our bio.

Another week, another glorious plate of Full Fridge Club food! Here's what our chefs had to say about this week's menu:

Yancy: I remember times when my siblings and I knew that my mom got paid. She would come home, with a bag of warm char siu buns. My siblings would fight over the bags of roast pork buns even though we always know that we all get a bun. Happy times! Now whenever I taste char siu, chinese bbq sauce, on anything I remember those times and I’m happy.

Stephen: When we write menu, we can find ourselves hemming and hawing about an ingredient being featured twice (e.g. “we can’t put zucchini in the muffins because we’re doing grilled zucchini as a side!”). It’s not really a problem, but it is a touch annoying! The twin to this dilemma is, however, a delicious opportunity: using the whole plant. Peas in the three bean salad and pea leaves in the saute? We should be so lucky.

Emmet: I had a spiritual experience the first time I had sauteed pea leaves at New Green Bo in Chinatown, when I was young and new to NYC. They're so tender and buttery - less insipid than spinach and less chewy than kale! I felt like I could feel the vitamins and nutrients coursing through my veins. They were both decadent and virtuous all at once, which hits some twisted comforting thing for me.

Menu:
🔹 Char Siu Tofu
🔹 Three Bean Salad with Edamame, Snow & Snap Peas & Wasabi
🔹 Chinese Fried Rice with Tempeh
🔹 Sauteed Choys & Pea Leaves with Crunchy Everything Spice
🔹 Fried Eggplant with Peanut Sauce

✨ WELCOME YANCY ✨

Yancy Mark Gandionco, our new Full Fridge Club cook, was born and raised in the Philippines. He moved to Oklahoma with his mom and sister where he found his love for biscuits and gravy (and Twinkies to be honest). He now lives in Kingston with his husband and son. He loves foraging for food as much as finding deals at local thrift stores. If Yancy did drag, his name would be Barbara Ganoush and he would be a cozy queen making sure everyone is fed at his shows.

We're so delighted to have you on board 💛

💫 THE MORE YOU KNOW: FULL FRIDGE CLUB EDITION, PART 2 💫

Groceries are more expensive that ever, budgeting for meals can be difficult, and it’s hard to plan menus that hit all the marks: healthy, delicious, convenient AND cost-effective. Even if you love to cook, the time and money it takes to put together balanced meals for the week can be prohibitive.

We wanted to show you how Full Fridge Club measures up to a grocery bill, so we DID THE MATH. We priced out the ingredients for a recent menu from Full Fridge Club at a chain supermarket, and guess what? The raw ingredients cost more, the veggies aren’t nearly as fresh, AND you have to cook them yourself.

We know that everyone's budget is different, and Full Fridge Club isn't the cheapest option out there. But if you fall into this spending range for groceries, Full Fridge Club is one way to make your money really work for you.

At Common Table, we select the finest organic produce from beloved small local farms, plan an ever revolving menu, and cook it all up so you don’t have to! A Full Fridge Club share will keep you well fed for the better part of the week. And hey – if you don’t want to give up your meditative kitchen time, we won’t judge. Our shares work wonderfully as a palette for your own culinary vision - you can re-purpose and reconfigure the dishes to your heart’s content.

The best part: when you purchase a share for yourself, we put a meal into the Kingston community fridge to help feed our less-resourced neighbors. Win-win-win!

💫 THE MORE YOU KNOW: FULL FRIDGE CLUB EDITION! 💫

One of the most frequently asked questions about our weekly meal service, Full Fridge Club, is: "How many meals is it?" Maybe the phrase "32 ounces" means absolutely nothing to you! Maybe you're a monster eater (like Emmet) and you plow through half of one container in a sitting! Maybe you eat 5-10 little meals each day and your single share gets you fully through the week! It seems like a simple question, but the answer varies from person to person, and we've had trouble giving a universally understood answer.

So, we went ahead and plated up each of the share sizes, for extremely scientific and educational purposes.

Here's what we found out:
Half Share (including meat) = 5 generous plates at $19 per plate
Single Share (including meat) = 10 generous plates at $16.50 per plate
Double Share (including meat) = 20 generous plates or one meal for a party of 20 at $12.25 per plate!

When you break it down like that, we think it's a LOT of bang for your buck. Add into the equation that ingredients are locally-sourced, organically-grown, and super fresh, it's a no brainer. And don't even get us STARTED on the weekly built-in donation to the community free fridges.

Still not sold? We now have a one-time sampler option available for purchase so you can get a taste of how we do things. Join the most delicious Club in town, you won't regret it.

We’ve made it to the end of the year.

As we look along the length and breadth of 2025, we’re feeling gratitude for the ways we’ve all shown up for each other again and again over the course of the year.

We’ve gathered a few reflections and milestones, to remind ourselves of the good amidst the general horrors and to shore ourselves up for the upcoming year.

Let’s continue showing up – we are what we’ve got in this world.

Big big thanks to each and every Full Fridge Club member for making our vision a reality and to our beloved FFC collaborators and .

Shout out to all the folks we’ve had the pleasure of sharing space with this year: •
