Why a NOON ceremony in New Orleans is a disaster waiting to happen ✨
Couples always say, “Let’s do noon, it’ll give us plenty of time to get ready.”
And every time, I beg — please don’t.
Why? Because New Orleans at noon is like a pot of gumbo left on high heat. The light is harsh, the air is sticky, and unless you dream of sweat-stache wedding portraits… trust me, let’s rethink.
True story: I had a groom once literally pass out in his suit. He was fine — after water, shade, and a lot of forehead dabbing — but let’s avoid that, yeah?🥰
Here are the best times for your ceremony:
• Sunrise (gorgeous, quiet, cinematic) ✨
• Golden hour before sunset (romantic + flattering)✨
we understand some circumstances only give us a mid-day option & we will work around that finding shade and keeping you comfortable… but morning and early evening is always optimal timing :)
