Our Story

Originally built in the 1930s as a former machine shop, The Truman is a multi-use concert & event space that features an industrial chic style with a modern edge. Our large main hall, entrance bar & lounge, open-air patio, and second story VIP area make for an incredible concert and event experience while offering views of downtown Kansas City. The Truman is located in The Crossroads Arts District, a vibrant and diverse community that is currently one of the most concentrated gallery districts in the nation and is home to more than 400 local artists and 100 independent studios. Our neighborhood is growing more every day and we’re proud to call it home.
