I was lucky enough to help train this gorgeous tank of a dog, Callie Mae, through several sessions of Wayside Waifs' reactive dog class. She did so well and made excellent progress, and felt comfortable enough last night to let me give her belly rubs. If anyone is looking for a loving, older dog that still has energy and intelligence, consider Callie. She must go to a home with no small animals and has other considerations that you can view on the Wayside website. All adoptions this weekend are $30, and her training can be continued through their public training classes, which I highly recommend!!

Spent Saturday morning with some awesome dogs ar . As of this morning they were all available for adoption, but as always that can change.
1. Appropriately-named Tiny really enjoyed his sniffy walk.
2. Roscoe is a large boi looking for a sled or cart to pull!
3. Jack is a smart young lab mix who already knows some commands and is very eager to learn more.
4. Otto is too smart to sit still for pics! He's still a puppy but already good at several commands and leash walking.
5. Lainey the cattle dog mix pup is beautiful and smart (and hopefully already adopted because she'd be perfect for my little pack 😖).

Busy morning with doggos at today. Go make a new best friend tomorrow!
1. Puppy pile! They have a lot of puppies available for adoption.
2. Shelby, a beautiful young gal who was brave enough to make some new friends.
3. Owen, who has no trouble with the dog walk in the agility park and behaved very well on our walk.
4. Agatha, who was rescued from a puppy mill and wouldn't even leave her kennel in the beginning. Today she was sniffing everything outside!
5. Milo, a gorgeous red and white husky with the typical husky personality 🤣
6. Ward, another refugee from the mill. 14 going on 4 with strong ideas of his own but so sweet.
7. Otto, a young pit mix puppy so is SO SMART and already knows several commands and walks very nicely.

Today is a great day to start a new chapter! is running a $20 adoption special this weekend and these are my favorite dogs who were still available as of this morning. I really hope they are all adopted before my next shift! Wayside also offers training classes, which are an outstanding way to build your relationship with your new or existing dog, and these classes are also on discount this weekend!

Bit of a for me today at ! Four sweet boys, all of them loving and gentle and looking for their forever homes. Adonis - you have to see him in person to appreciate how like a panther he is when he walks. Horus - excellent leash manners, knows some commands and enjoys pets. Bubba - a very good boy who just needs to not live with cats! Mario - sweet, older gentleman down on his luck a bit but still happy. Meet them today, 11-7.
