You know how to budget in real life but then you think about your wedding and youâre likeâŚwait, WHAT?đ¤Ż
Try starting the same way you would any other budgetâŚwith â¨conversationâ¨
1ď¸âŁ Between you and your partner, pick your top 3 (minimum) vendor priorities.Â
The things that matter MOST to you.
2ď¸âŁ Then, get a real quote for each of those vendors.
3ď¸âŁ Now look up the average numbers (based on your city) for all other vendors.
4ď¸âŁ Add up your top 3 quotes with the averages to get your ballpark number give or take.
BONUS to get even more accurate, a good rule of thumb is to add an extra 8-10% on top of your total for things no one really warns you about (service charges, tips, tax, alterations, and more).
If you never name your big rocks, â every vendor will feel equally important, â every quote will feel too high, and â you will end up spending way outside your budget.â¨â¨So make sure you have the conversationâ¨đđ¤
