We’ve had a front-row seat to this one. Alex and Andrew Perez spent years in our TEAMS mentoring program, working through the questions every growing company runs into: production, access to capital, distribution, hiring, and how to scale without losing what makes the product so good.

The brothers started Highpoint in 2018 because they couldn’t find good c***r in Jackson Hole. It took more than 250 trial batches to get their recipes right, and they opened their Victor taproom in 2021. Today their low-sugar c***rs are landing in Costco carts.

Huge thanks to the TEAMS mentors who gave their time to Highpoint along the way. Congratulations, Alex, Andrew, and the whole crew.

It took A.J. Cargill three attempts just to reach the summit of the Grand Teton. Then she skied it on telemark gear, the first woman ever to do so.

That story, from Angus Thuermer’s WyoFile profile this week, is the best description of entrepreneurship I’ve read in a while. A.J. won the 1997 women’s world free-skiing title for a fifth of the men’s prize money, spent 20 years on ski patrol, and earned her place in a scene that didn’t make room for women.

“You’ve got to get back up and try it again to succeed around here,” she said of the Tetons. Any founder will recognize that.

Now she’s bringing the same persistence to Alpine Revival, her cashmere ski sweater company. Last month it won the Bob Arndt Community Caretaker award at Pitch Day, and A.J. is a participant in our TEAMS mentoring program.

Pitch Day looks like one evening on stage, but it's the end of a summer's worth of work. Thank you to Jasmine Hall and the Jackson Hole News&Guide for telling the whole story of our 15th annual Pitch Day.

Stephen Elias of WyoDynamics, from Cody, took the Panelist Choice Award for producing natural astaxanthin in shipping containers on Wyoming wellpads.

Orion Bellorado of Roots Kitchen & Cannery won Audience Choice, with votes from neighbors who've been eating his jam for a decade.

A.J. Cargill of Alpine Revival earned the Bob Arndt Community Caretaker Award and the Dreamers and Doers Award for her performance cashmere mountain knitwear.

Cody Hamilton of Visual Engineering and Tyler Bass of EstateScribe rounded out this year's incredible finalists.

Our selection committee, 20+ business coaches and judges gave more than 140 hours to this program. Thank you for showing up for Wyoming founders.
