Last night was a vibe and what a way to kick off Pride month. We have a banner that says "You Belong Here" for a reason.

Do you know why Pride month is in June? It is to commemorate the Stonewall riots that began on June 28th, 1969, and lasted for days. The first parade then took place one year later, on June 28th, 1970. Although the Stonewall riots were not the first for the LGBTQ+ community, it was a turning point in history. (Look up the Comptons Cafeteria Riots) In 1999, President Bill Clinton designated the whole month of June as "gay and le***an pride month".

This year, the BYB has again partnered with Indiana Pride of Color (INPOC). An organization creating culturally affirming spaces and programs that reduce loneliness, build community power, and strengthen connection. Connecting members with essential resources, including culturally competent health, mental health, and financial support. Advocating for local and state policies that protect our community and challenge systemic inequities.

Indy Eleven Men & Women's teams will play 9 games in the month of June. Pledge a few dollars per goal, and help support INPOC and their services. Even one dollar pledged makes an impact. Ask your workplaces and coworkers to pledge as well, many employers are looking for opportunities to support local causes like this.

For decades, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis have battled..

From the old IHL days of the Fort Wayne Komets vs. the Indianapolis Ice and later in the ECHL with the Indy Fuel, the rivalry was built on hard hits, packed barns, and pure competitive brutality between two cities that refused to back down. 

But this rivalry goes deeper than hockey.

Fort Wayne has always fought to prove itself against their big brother, Indianapolis, and we, in Indy, aim to keep them in our shadow. League One versus Championship, blue collar vs. big city, northeast Indiana vs. central Indiana, rivers vs. circles. Different cities, different cultures, same desire to be the best. 

Now the rivalry moves to the pitch.
