Meet Jenna (she/her), our outstanding bookkeeper! Her favorite thing about Gen Con is the camaraderie and feeling of family. Outside of work, you can find Jenna traveling, working out, and being obsessed with all things sports. She loves reality TV (same) and mystery books (also same).

Her advice to attendees is to try something new every year you come!

Meet the great Mike Boozer (he/him), our Customer Service manager. His favorite thing about Gen Con is all his captains at Customer Service. Outside work, you can find Boozer watching the 🏈 Seahawks play, fishing, gaming, playing with his dog (Maui), and visiting his family. His comfort book is Pillars of the Earth. His favorite game is Diplomacy.

One thing that a new attendee should do at Gen Con is play Werewolf, and you're sure to see Boozer there.

✨Meet the Event Team!

Gen Con doesn't run without the 100+ people onsite and online that help us behind the scenes. Let's meet Rachel!

Rachel has been a part of the Event Team for about 10 years. She's the black vest at GMHQ. When asked what she loves about being a Captain, she says "being able to enjoy the convention and being surrounded by like-minded people while working towards helping everyone have the best possible convention."

She's currently playing D&D Spelljammer, Pollen, Dune, Mountain Goats and Root.

Rachel suggests that if it's your first Gen Con you should stop by an HQ and ask for recommendations.

✨ Time to meet another one of the Gen Con Staff!

Derek (he/him) is our Director of Events. His favorite thing about Gen Con is the varied communities that have carved space for themselves at the show. Outside of work, you can find Derek playing games (analog and video) and watching anime. It's impossible for him to say what his favorite game is, but Dune, Tyrants of the Underdark and Shipwreck Arcana are up at the top of his list.

One thing that any new attendee should do is sign up for a couple of games. Pick an old favorite, a new love, and something you've wanted to try and give them a shot!
