Travis of I Do Media .h.photo brings 11+ years of photography and videography experience, capturing weddings while witnessing firsthand what works — and what doesn’t — behind the scenes.

Together, these two powerhouses come together to talk about the realest things in wedding planning. They dive deep into the ins and outs, what works, what doesn’t work, and the crazy experiences they’ve had along the way.

This podcast is honest, unfiltered, and straight to the point. They will tell it like it is — all real, no sugar coating.

Even though I didn’t take home Wedding Planner of the Year, I was truly humbled—and completely surprised—to be honored with The National Association for Catering & Events (NACE) Member of the Year Award, voted on by my peers. To be recognized by colleagues who walk alongside me in this industry every day makes this award even more meaningful.

For the past 11 years, NACE has been a huge part of my professional life, and I’ve had the privilege of serving (and still serving) on the board for 10 of those years. From the moment I joined, NACE became more than just an association—it became my community, my stepping stone, and a place where I found purpose. It jumpstarted my career not only in wedding planning, but also in food & beverage, shaping me into the events professional I am today.

NACE has opened countless doors for me: opportunities to grow, collaborate, travel, and connect with like-minded individuals from across the country. Through conferences, education, networking, and leadership roles, I’ve been able to build relationships that go far beyond business—relationships rooted in mentorship, support, and shared passion for elevating our industry.

One of the things I love most about NACE is the culture of giving back. This association inspires us to lead with heart, to mentor those coming up behind us, and to lift others as we climb. I strive to inspire, teach, and serve because that’s exactly what NACE has done for me. It taught me the value of leadership, community, and celebrating each other’s successes.

Past NACE Member of the Year awardees—like Dora Young of Hale Koa Hotel and Josette Murai of the Hawai‘i Visitors & Convention Bureau—are true pillars of our industry. I’ve always admired their leadership, dedication, and impact, and to follow in their footsteps is an honor I will carry proudly.

Mahalo to NACE, to my colleagues, and to everyone who has supported my journey. This prestigious award is a reminder of how far we’ve come—and how much more we can do together. To God be the glory!
