I have a lot of sessions AWAITING SELECTIONS:
If you have completed your final selections, please be sure to let me know! It's common for clients to revisit their lists and edit them, so I don't want to begin final edits if you're not ready. Without confirmation, your session will either continue sitting in limbo or selections will be made for you!

I have a weekend PACKED with peak color sessions starting tomorrow. Within the next week, I'm slated to complete the rest of the S'mores Sessions and remaining senior proof galleries along with the Carty Wedding final gallery and Baier Wedding sneak peeks! 🍂

Updated gallery tracker heading into the weekend!

Reminder for those making selections: these must be completed within 7 calendar days of proof gallery delivery to keep my work flow moving!

Cameron & S'mores Mini's are estimated to be delivered next week followed by the Carty Wedding.

As we approach peak color, my board is going to fill up immensely with sessions and less time to edit until the rush is over.

11 years ago today, I decided to “start a little side business.”

I had absolutely no idea what that would evolve into.

I didn’t know that five years later, it would become my only job. I didn’t know how many weddings I’d photograph, how many families I’d watch grow, how many babies I’d meet before they were even born and then photograph as toddlers, kids, seniors. I didn’t know how many people would trust me with the moments they’d someday look back on as some of the most important pieces of their lives.

I definitely didn’t know that, 11 years later, I’d still be here.

I’m fortunate enough to have documented the exact date this all started. The official birthday of SP Photo: September 29, 2015.

This little “side business” has grown up right alongside me. It has changed a thousand times. I’ve changed a thousand times. There have been insanely busy seasons, quiet seasons, moments where I felt like I had everything figured out and plenty where I absolutely did not.

But somehow, through all of it, I’ve gotten to make a living creating something that matters to me.

And that is never lost on me.

To every person who has booked me, recommended me, shared my work, liked a post, come back year after year, trusted me with a wedding day, handed me their newborn, wrangled their kids through family photos, stood in freezing Michigan weather with me, laughed with me, cried with me, or told someone, “You should call Sarah”—

thank you.

You turned my little side business into a career.
