Today is the Feast Day of St. Faustina ~ and I share this prayer in her honor ~
❤️🕊️ Prayer for a Merciful Heart ❤️🕊️
Help me, O Lord, that my eyes may be merciful, seeing beyond appearances and assumptions to the beauty You have planted within every soul—including my own. May I recognize both the wounds and the wonder in those around me, and respond with wisdom, kindness, and grace.
Help me, O Lord, that my ears may be merciful, attentive to the needs, joys, and sorrows of others. And may I also listen with tenderness to the quiet voice within, honoring the limits, longings, and truths You have placed in my heart.
Help me, O Lord, that my tongue may be merciful, offering words that heal, encourage, and uplift. May I speak with compassion toward others and with gentleness toward myself, remembering that every soul is held within Your love.
Help me, O Lord, that my hands may be merciful and generous in service. May they bring comfort where there is pain, assistance where there is need, and blessing wherever You send me. Grant me also the wisdom to serve from abundance rather than depletion, honoring the sacred vessel through which Your love flows.
Help me, O Lord, that my feet may be merciful, leading me where I am called to bring hope, healing, and peace. Teach me to balance service with rest, action with stillness, trusting that You are present in both.
Help me, O Lord, that my heart may be merciful, spacious enough to hold the joys and sorrows of others without losing itself. May I love freely without abandoning wisdom, forgive without surrendering dignity, and offer compassion without neglecting the care of my own soul.
When others misunderstand me, strengthen me in truth. When kindness is not returned, anchor me in Your peace. When I am weary, remind me that Your mercy embraces me as fully as it embraces all whom I serve.
Enfold me within the Most Merciful Heart of Jesus, that I may become a living reflection of Your love—gentle, courageous, discerning, and kind. May Your mercy flow through me, to others and to myself, until all that I am rests in You.
