After getting married at the Ranch himself in 2004, he knew its potential firsthand and set out to create something lasting.

Through grit, care, and a lot of hard work, the I Bar has welcomed unforgettable celebrations and legendary artists, while creating meaningful ripple effects for local vendors and the wider valley. At the heart of it all is a deep commitment to place, people, and possibility.

Wick, his wife Jennifer, and their daughters Gianna and Eliza are proud to call Gunnison home — from the shores of Blue Mesa to snowy winter peaks, this land is woven into everything we do.

As the heart behind Janniebird, Annie grows and designs flowers right here in the Gunnison Valley, proving that beauty truly thrives at elevation. Her work is deeply rooted in the land, the seasons, and the community she calls home — each bloom grown with intention and shaped by this place.

Beyond the flowers, Annie is a trusted collaborator and friend of I Bar. She brings imagination, generosity, and a genuine love for gathering — dreaming up spaces that invite people to slow down, connect, and celebrate. From flower-filled fields and meaningful moments to future farm-to-table dinners and gatherings yet to come, her vision aligns so naturally with what we’re building here.

This summer, we’re especially excited to share that I Bar will be home to two fields dedicated entirely to Annie’s beautiful flowers. Expect to see a lot more of her around the ranch, more color woven into the landscape, and more moments shaped by the beauty she brings.

Ever wondered where the I Bar name comes from?

The I Bar brand traces back to the 1880s, when Powderhorn rancher William Clark Howard built a life hauling freight, ranching cattle, and marking his legacy with a simple brand. Passed through three generations of the Howard family, the I Bar found its home in Gunnison — becoming the gathering place we know today.
