HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY KIDS NEED TO READ! Eighteen years ago, Kids Need to Read began its mission to provide books and literacy resources to children who need them the most.

Our partner, Kids Need to Read, brings the joy of reading to children, classrooms, libraries, and communities across the country. Mark your calendars for the KIDS NEED TO READ event at the Faire on February 20 and 21, 2027. Children ages 5 to 12 can enter for free with the donation of 2 new books to the KNTR tent (a $25 value for child admission). HUZZAH! Happy Birthday! What a milestone!

Lord Chancellor Charles Newton-lovingly known to all of us as Fig- has passed away.
It’s nearly impossible to capture the essence of such a vibrant person in a single picture or moment, for he was a tapestry woven from laughter, kindness, and unwavering loyalty.
Starting in '91, he became a cornerstone of our faire community. Fig was incredibly generous, always ready to lend a hand or an ear. His remarkable talents as a frontman, spokesperson, and storyteller inspired all. He made everyone feel seen and heard through his words and music. Fig was not simply a longtime performer. He was part of the foundation of this village. His loss leaves a space that cannot be filled. Today, as we remember him, let’s celebrate the legacy of kindness and love he leaves behind. While we will miss him dearly, his spirit will forever resonate in our hearts and at Fairhaven. The Arizona Renaissance-HUZZAH!
