This isn't the ending we hoped for. ❤️
For quite some time, I've been quietly working toward what I hoped would be Formality Bridal's next home in Erie.
We had our eye on a building that I genuinely believed could be something special. A second location with our giant 'Bridal Department Store' concept.
We were hopeful.
Very hopeful.
And while we haven't said much publicly, we've been working behind the scenes trying to make it happen.
Sadly, it didn't come together.
So, after a lot of thought and some very difficult conversations with people who helped us tremendously, we've made the decision to close our Erie location. Our last day will be Sunday, November 1st.
I believe in Erie.
I believe in our brides there.
But I also believe that location matters, and committing to another long-term lease at an increased cost, in a space that isn't right, simply isn't the best decision for our business.
For now, we're going to step back, regroup, and focus on opening our new Willowick location. Once we're settled, we'll revisit Erie and the possibility of finding the home we'd envisioned.
To our Erie brides, our incredible team, and everyone who has supported us along the way, thank you. Truly. You've been part of something very special to me.
We'll be open and welcoming brides as usual through November 1st, and our Geneva store will continue to serve brides after that.
And Willowick is underway as well.
I'm not ready to say goodbye to Erie.
I don't have it in me.
So, for now, let's just say...
until we meet again. ❤️
