Gainesville purchased its first alarm bell in 1882. It was hung in Gainesville's original fire station which is now the Morton Museum of Cooke County. It was moved to Firehouse 1918 and hung in the Bell Tower Loft. The bell tower is now a reading nook. Traveling to Gainesville? Come stay in the Bell Tower Loft!
