Be on the alert for this stolen guitar! Please share with any music contacts you may have!

Stolen from the SE Missouri area.

My father, George Sitze, was from the Jackson, Missouri, area. He has passed away, but he was very active in promoting bluegrass music and encouraging young musicians. For a while, he and my mother performed in a band called Georgia Rose.
When Dad passed, I inherited his 1971 Martin D45 acoustic Guitar, Serial number 291949. Unfortunately it was stolen and we have reason to believe it is in the Southeast Missouri area.
I am asking for help to spread the word that this guitar was stolen and hopefully let someone spot it during the festival season. I am attaching a photo of my Mom and Dad at a festival, and also a photo of the wear pattern on the front of the guitar. It was kept in a large, black rectangular road case.

We have signed the contract! Next year's dates are Jan 21, 22 & 23 of 2027 for the Bootheel Bluegrass Festival in Fruitland, MO! We are working on booking the bands! Thank you to everyone that came out last weekend and supported us. We had a grand time! Next year, bring a friend. Or two.

Good Morning! Its our last day here at The Bootheel Bluegrass Festival and doors open at noon! Join us for a fun filled day! Possom Trot, Rising Son, Leevon DeCourley, Herbie Johnstons Fiddler Frolic and the jam finale with Bull Harman & Friends. We start at 1:00 and go till 10 PM. A short break for you to get supper at 5 or so. Come on out!
