From morning until night…

I took a little video of my floral studio window when I arrived this morning and another as I was leaving after a very busy day.

I’m so grateful for all the wonderful customers who keep me busy doing what I love!

There’s something so special about working in this little old barn, and I never tire of seeing the window decorated for each season, especially when the twinkle lights come on at night.

They say, “If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.”

I think there’s a little truth to that.

Yes, I’m still decorating doors… just not usually this fast!

A grapevine and greenery base is the perfect starting point ~ beautiful on its own and easy to change with the seasons.

Today, L Designs celebrates 18 years!

On October 1, 2008, L Designs officially began ~ a small business I built from the ground up.

My love of floral design began many years before L Designs. I grew up in the floral industry at Neumeier Nursery, worked at Walter’s Flower Shop in Russellville and Cunningham’s Flowers in Kansas, and spent time freelance designing along the way. Starting L Designs gave me the opportunity to take that lifelong love of flowers and make it my own.

There is such joy in being a floral designer. I’ve always believed that floral design is more than simply arranging flowers ~ it is an art. Even after eighteen years, I am still learning, growing, creating, and striving every day to become a better floral artist.

Most of all, I am grateful.

To this wonderful community, my customers, friends, and everyone who has trusted L Designs with your weddings, celebrations, sympathies, and special moments ~ thank you. Every order, recommendation, kind word, and returning customer has helped keep this small business growing.

Quite simply, L Designs would not be here without you.

Thank you for 18 wonderful years. I look forward to creating what comes next.

Vino Before Vows 🍷

This beautiful bridal shower at Uncorked was thoughtfully planned around such a fun and creative theme. Rich-toned fresh florals featured clusters of fresh grapes spilling from the arrangements, with w**e corks tucked inside the vases and incorporated throughout the designs.

Every detail came together beautifully for a lovely afternoon celebrating the bride-to-be.
