90’s Country music legend, Travis Tritt, will headline Country Jam 2026 in Fort Dodge on Saturday, August 8th. Following up on the success of this year’s first ever sold-out Downtown Country Jam featuring Trace Adkins, next summer’s Country Jam will take place on the Fort Dodge Soccer Association fields at Rogers Sports Complex. This represents Shellabration Inc.’s first ever country show at the sports complex and the first event staged there since Bret Michaels performed in summer 2022.
“Given the growing crowd size at our DCJ, we simply ran out of room downtown, said Jim Reed, President of Shellabration Inc., the organization behind the former Downtown Country Jam. We had record attendance of 4,765 for our Trace Adkins show back in August, explained Reed. We very likely could have attracted 6,000 plus had we not been limited in capacity due to the venue. We had to cut tickets sales off three weeks before the event which hurts when you’re working hard to serve as many people as possible,” expressed Reed.
“Next summer will be exciting when you consider Travis Tritt was the #1 ranked artist in our most recent Facebook survey, said Shellabration Inc. Director, Craig Schlienz. He puts on a great live show and plays a ton of hits. This event is sure to sell out and be a real crowd pleaser for all in attendance”, added Schlienz.
Tickets for Fort Dodge Country Jam 2026 featuring Travis Tritt go on sale this Friday, December 12th at 10:00AM. The price is $45. They will initially be available online only at Ticketweb.com. Tickets will eventually be available for purchase locally in the spring in Fort Dodge at Hy-Vee and other yet-to-be-named retailers on Saturday, April 4th. They increase in price from $45 to $55 on Monday, July 27th. The event will likely sell out with no tickets available at the gate. Kids 12 years of age and under are admitted free if accompanied by an adult. They do not require a ticket. All tickets are general admission, festival style (bring your own chair) seating. There is also a large standing-room-only area directly in front of the stage for attendees that prefer to stand during the performance.
Travis Tritt signed with Warner Brothers in 1989. Over the years he’s had seven albums certified Platinum or higher, 15 Top 10 hits including 5 #1 songs and 40 charted hits in total. He’s been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1992 and has sold over 30 million albums. Some of Tritt’s many hits include “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive”, “Country Club”, “Help Me Hold On”, “I’m Gonna To Be Somebody”, “Here’s A Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)”, “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin”, “T-R-O-U-B-L-E”, “Take It Easy”, “Where Corn Don’t Grow”, “Best of Intentions” and many, many more.
Fort Dodge Country Jam will also showcase a local Fort Dodge act and regional Iowa band. Calling Fort Dodge home, Stadium Dr. will serve as the opening act. The band features Jefferson Fosbender and Alex Trevino on guitars and vocals. Their band also includes Owen O’Brien on bass and Cole Smothers on drums. Their most recent album, “Where All The Rain Goes” was released earlier this year following up on the success from their first album entitled, “Scenic City” in 2024. Direct support for Travis Tritt is a highly popular country act from the Des Moines area called, Blake Jack & 35 South. The band plays an energetic live set including powerful originals with a cover or two sprinkled in. The band features Blake Jack on guitar and vocals, Dave Bloom on lead guitar, Adam Byrne on guitar, Darren Price on bass and Bob Myers on drums. Select songs from their catalog is available online including, “Love Comes To Call”, “Slow Burn”, “Just Had To Be There” and “Wouldn’t Take Me Back”.
