It’s easy to assume certain event formats are just “pandemic leftovers,” but when we keep an eye on industry trends, one thing is clear.
Heading into 2026, hybrid meetings are still a smart and relevant option.
Not because people do not want to gather in person, but because flexibility has become part of how organizations operate. Teams are more distributed. Stakeholders are in different cities. Schedules are tighter. Hybrid meetings allow companies to bring people together without asking everyone to be in the same room to participate meaningfully.
When done well, hybrid meetings are not a compromise. They are an expansion. They give remote attendees a real seat at the table, allow organizations to reach broader audiences, and make important conversations more accessible.
As event and AV professionals, we are always watching how technology supports human connection. The tools may evolve, but the goal stays the same. Helping people communicate clearly, stay engaged, and feel included no matter where they are.
Hybrid is not a trend that disappeared. It is a format that matured.
