Stephanie & Scott's wedding had so many timeless touches: vintage dinner plates, a hand-knitted shawl, flowers worthy of a fairy cottage. But this one piece of technology was the perfect addition: a hand-built digital photo booth. It included treasure chests full of silly costumes, a blue backdrop, and a lovely roll top desk. Guests absolutely loved it! By the end of the night, the custom guestbook was brimming with happy photos and well wishes for the newlyweds.

If you're looking for a unique and funky way to entertain your guests and preserve your wedding memories, I highly recommend Amuse Booth!

We aaaaalllmost had their wedding ceremony up here... And I'm so glad we didn't. It was steep, logistically challenging, and offered no shade to their guests in the heat of the day. But this beautiful view from the hillside at Mount Tom house was the perfect spot for golden hour portraits! Just Sally and Travis soaking up each other and the beauty of Oregon, while their guests kept dancing (& eating ice cream) back at their reception.

There's always a way to get these magic moments for your wedding day. Sometimes we just need to get a little creative. 😉 I remember hearing Sally and Travis tell me how much they loved this view, and how they wished they could incorporate it into their wedding day, but it was too steep and rocky for Grandma in her wheelchair. I suggested saving this view for golden hour portraits, and I think it was the perfect compromise!!

My tips for DIY wedding florals are live on the blog! Of course I recommend hiring a professional floral designer whenever your budget allows... But if you are determined to craft your own flowers, I have ideas for you.

For example, Claire and Nate bought locally grown bulk flowers from Formosa Flower Farm to create all of their arrangements... except for Claire's bridal bouquet. That one was professionally arranged by the team at Formosa. Isn't that smart?!

However, many local florists have order minimums and require all flowers in your wedding to be sources by them for a cohesive look.

If you aren't sure how to approach wedding flowers, please reach out for a free consultation with me! I have a great network of florists and other vendors, and I'm happy to brainstorm with you. 💜

I love working with couples who've been together a long time. Couples with kids, and maybe grandkids too. People with the coolest stories and charismatic families and so much life lived and lessons learned. Your wedding day can be as big or small as you like, so long as your favorite people are there with you.

Thank you to Debra & Arthur for trusting me with your beautiful wedding day last July. 💜💜💜 I loved getting to know you and your awesome community. I don't think I've ever cried harder at a ceremony either 😭

Happy Anniversary to my honey and me. 💜💜 Two years married and 9 years together. Alex, you came into my life and everything was suddenly WAY better. Literally everything.

We are shaped by the people we spend time with, and I feel so lucky to have been shaped by you. I love who I've become. I love all the cool adventures, laughs, and endeavors we've shared, and the feeling that we're just getting started. You are the best thing that's happened to me.

I remember one of the first gifts you ever gave me was an Alexander the Great action figure, still in the collector's box, and you'd signed it with a sharpie. 😂 Because you're Alexander the Great. And because you fully "commit to the bit" and know how to make me crack up laughing.

You bring so much goofy joy into this world and it makes all of us better. By being your weird self, you give us all permission to be our weird selves. Alex, you're just so dang awesome. I could go on forever telling everyone how special you are. But for now: Happy anniversary, my love. 💜💜
