Our History

Established in 1980. Progressive Dance Studio (PDS) located in Englewood, NJ is one of Bergen County's most respected and experienced dance studios. Progressive Dance Studio's faculty is comprised of professionally educated dance instructors who are highly qualified and have experience dancing on and off-Broadway. Some of our instructors also teach at New York City's premier Dance Sch

ools, such as Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Center, and Studio Maestro. PDS's infusion of outstanding dance teachers from New York and New Jersey provides an atmosphere of learning, inspiration, and excitement for our students. As we celebrate our 41st year, we invite anyone who wants to learn to dance to come and experience what PDS has to offer! We focus on providing a solid foundation in dance education and do not rely on fads or gimmicks but solid lesson plans designed to further the progression of our students. Our stellar reputation is based on a first-rate faculty and staff. We make it abundantly clear that we love what we do. In Case You Missed It!!

We are thrilled to announce our PDS COMPANY Make-Up Auditions! 
WHEN: THIS WEDNESDAY, June 18th
TIME: 4:00-5:00pm - STUDIO D
AGE: 7 and Up!
AUDITION FEE: $20 (cash or venmo )
 
Auditions well be held during our Jumps & Turns class. The audition will be in held in a class style to eliminate any stress for the dancers. For the dancers who are in this class currently, you will attend class as normal, as this audition is being held like a normal class. If your dancer is in this class you do not need to pay the Audition fee. 
Please have your dancer arrive in black leggings, fitted tank or t-shirt, hair slicked back in a pony tail. Jazz shoes or bare feet.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who attended our 45th anniversary fundraising gala. But the fundraising journey continues! We have a few more months to contribute to support Progressive Dance Studio’s inaugural production of The Snow Queen Ballet.
We are incredibly thankful to all our donors who have supported us thus far! A special thank you goes out to the friends, family, and supporters of our studio—our beloved home—for helping us pursue our dreams at the gala. We appreciate your presence.
