What happens while I am on leave? 🤰🏼 I’ll still be accepting inquiries for future weddings and events! Response times may be a little slower than usual while I adjust to life with a newborn, but I’ll get back to you as soon as I can! I’m currently booking 2027 weddings, and I would absolutely love to chat about your plans. If your wedding falls during my leave, I’ll be transparent about my availability and , if needed, help connect you with another planner so you’re taken care of. A little about me… and a little life update 🩵

For those of you who don’t know me, allow me to properly introduce myself. I’m Mariah, the owner and planner behind Pretty Nitty-Gritty Events.
I’ve always been “the planner” in every area of my life. Whether it was organizing trips, hosting parties, making spreadsheets for fun (yes, really 😂), or coordinating events for friends and family, planning has always come naturally to me.
But it wasn’t until I was planning my own wedding that everything clicked.
I remember thinking, “This is it. This is what I want to do.”
So I took a leap of faith and started Pretty Nitty-Gritty Events because I wanted to help couples experience the same joy I felt during that season of life.
My favorite part of this job isn’t just creating beautiful weddings—it’s being trusted with one of the biggest days in someone’s life. Watching months (sometimes years) of planning come together into a day filled with love, laughter, happy tears, and unforgettable memories is something I’ll never take for granted.
And now… life is bringing me into a new season. 🤍
As I prepare to welcome our baby boy this summer, I’ve found myself looking at weddings through a completely different lens.
I already catch myself getting emotional thinking about one day watching my son grow up, standing at the end of an aisle, beginning a new chapter of his own.
It’s made me realize even more that a wedding isn’t just about one beautiful day.
It’s about families.
It’s about generations.
It’s about the people who helped shape us.
It’s about the beginning of a marriage and the memories that last long after the flowers are gone.
As I dive into this next adventure of motherhood while continuing to grow this business, I’m feeling incredibly grateful.
Thank you for following along, supporting this dream, and trusting me to be part of such meaningful moments.
I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings—for my family and for Pretty Nitty-Gritty Events. 🤍✨

Vendor Spotlight: Today I wanted to celebrate and shout out one of the incredibly talented photographers I’ve had the pleasure of seeing in action. As both a wedding planner and a MOH at this wedding, I got to witness firsthand how much care and intention Chad puts into every part of the day. He was not just taking photos- he was creating an experience that helped everyone feel relaxed, confident, and present.
