We are STOKED to have such a unique performance come to

Please welcome Slip and Loop!

Sleep & Loop is a yo-yo performance duo based in New York City, formed by Takumi and Justin. Two throwers united by a shared obsession with string, spin, and performance. Drawing from the technical precision of Japanese yo-yo culture and imaginative performance, Sleep & Loop brings a dynamic mix of looping tricks, string mastery and synchronized flow to every stage. It started with Hyper Yo-Yo – childhood obsession that never really let go.

Kyle Abbott Well-known from JapanFest!), 20+ year shamisen player, founder of the first international shamisen community Bachido, —has spent six years bringing together over 50 artists from Japan and the world to create a massive world fusion project called Waves of Harmony. The collaboration's hallmark project is a five album set heavily focused on shamisen, shakuhachi, koto, taiko, professionally played and recorded together with global instrumental artists. The project shows how Japanese traditional instruments can thrive beyond genre and connect naturally with non-traditional music. Waves of Harmony is entirely self-funded, and Kyle has personally supported it since 2020 to bring this collaboration to life. If you believe in connecting musicians and elevating Japanese instrumentation on the global stage, please support the project with a tax-deductible donation (https://wavesofharmonymusic.com/sponsorship-levels-and-benefits), and visit the Waves of Harmony website to learn more about the project and it's collaborators (https://wavesofharmonymusic.com/).
