August 4th, 2000, 25 years ago today.....before Dripping Springs was known as the "Wedding Capital of Texas," The Terrace Club was just a dream on a quiet hilltop—one built with heart, hard work, and a vision to create something truly special. It wasn’t just about building a beautiful venue; it was about building a space where couples could celebrate without stress, surrounded by the sweeping views and golden sunsets of the Texas Hill Country.
In 2000, Hunter Connor began working at The Terrace Club for her sister and brother-in-law. She quickly became the heart and hustle behind the scenes—acting as both the venue’s sales lead and on-site coordinator for every wedding. She helped build the foundation of what The Terrace Club would become: an all-inclusive, full-service experience where couples could relax and truly enjoy their day.
In 2003, Hunter and her husband Pat were married at the very venue she helped grow. Just three years later, in 2006, they purchased The Terrace Club, continuing its legacy as a family-owned business rooted in love.
Hunter has seen it all—she was here when 9/11 shook the world, through the challenges of the 2008 recession, and again when COVID turned the wedding industry upside down. Through every twist and turn, The Terrace Club stayed strong.
And thousands of weddings later, we’re proud to still be one of the top wedding venues in Central Texas.
What started as a dream on a dusty hill has grown into a place where love stories come to life, where families gather, and where memories are made under the Hill Country sky.
