Join us for the 1st annual Back to School Fair!! We have partnered up with Commissioner Gustavo Flores Pct 4 and his team to give school supplies back to the community! All precincts are welcome Child and Parent must be present to receive a back pack with supplies and more!

This inaugural 5K event offers an exciting experience, with participants having the option to run, walk, stroll, or bike. Additionally, a shorter route is available, starting from the Our Lady of Guadalupe church parking lot, catering to those who desire a brief yet thrilling experience.

The race will start at the Val Verde County Courthouse and go thru the San Felipe Creek Walk and on to San Felipe Ave and right on Garza to Brown Plaza. (A route map will be shared once you register).

The participants will be the opening act for the parade spectators waiting for the parade to begin at 8pm. Let’s fiesta and celebrate you the participants. The 1st 25 registered participants will receive our classic medal and our new one. Everyone will receive a finisher medal. Registration link shared upon request.

Thank you to the Brown Plaza Association and Queens for a Cause for organizing a community donation drive for Kerrville, Texas. We were thankful for the opportunity to contribute with a donation of six pallets of Julio’s Chips.

Miss 5 de Mayo Teen Amya Mendoza issues a message and reminder that donations for flood victims are still being accepted to sustain the blessings and solidarity. Although Amya is currently away at an out-of-state basketball tournament, she and her sister Miss Queen City- Ariana Mendoza contributed to the cause prior to their departure.

Donations will be accepted from 9am to 3pm at the Brown Plaza Association located at 305 Cantu St for today.

Del Rio Cares Ambassadors, Queens for a Cause of the Miss Val Verde Pageant System, Brown Plaza Royalty, Miss Del Rio Court and Miss 4th of July Royalty, Trail Life USA Boy Scouts Troop along with Community Angels and Samantha’s Courage owning to the remarkable demand and calls to receive donations, we have enhanced our collection capabilities by upgrading from a trailer to an 18-wheeler. The community is encouraged to continue donating this Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Brown Plaza Association, located at 305 Cantu, from 9am to 3pm.
