The amazing 😻 collection of artifacts on our walls is being featured in the online edition of the Lake Highlands Advocate.

If you haven’t heard the story behind these pieces give it a read. Even better, catch Jade before or after her noon classes on Tuesday and Thursday to hear about them, and her dad and grandmother, first hand.

Thank you, Lake Highlands Advocate!

You can rest and move.
You can show up imperfectly — and it still counts.

Whether you join us once this week or a few times, we’re so glad to be part of your season. Cozy vibes on the mat all week long. 🤍

Art, Artifacts and Arrowheads now at YAM!

A collection of Monty Moore, shared by his daughter to keep his memory and his legacy alive.

Raised on a cattle ranch in west Texas, Monty spent many years on horseback, hearing tall tales from his elders of way of the West and passing the time collecting arrowheads (on display). He also watched his mother, Doris, paint the scenes of the West and bring her love of the land and the history it held to the canvas.

That curiosity grew as he did, beginning his lifelong journey into mystical and spiritual growth through an appreciation of American Indians and his cowboy upbringing. He didn’t want to be a cowboy when he grew up, but the legend lived on in his heart.

His favorite artists were those either from or with Texas roots or those with a connection to the tribes of ancient Americas, Southwest America and New Mexico. He loved to meet the artists and most of the time became dear friends with them, bringing them home for dinner and letting them find a place for their art on the walls of his home.

Not all are for sale but proceeds from those that are willing to be donated to organizations supporting Indigenous People.
