Before Petals & Pages was even a reality, I had a little list of things I dreamed of doing if I ever opened a bookstore. Some were small. Some were big. And somewhere on that list was hosting an ACOTAR midnight book release party. (I was hopeful after years of waiting...we would have a new book SOMEtime!)
Last night, that dream came true. And I don't think I have the words to properly explain what that means to me.
I poured so much time, heart, love, and probably an unreasonable amount of brainpower into making this night special. 😂 I wanted the lights, the decorations, the activities, and every little detail to feel like stepping into Velaris. But the most magical part of the entire evening wasn't anything I decorated or planned. It was YOU.
You showed up. You dressed up. You played trivia, painted, laughed, and celebrated with me. You supported this little bookstore and made a dream I'd carried for years feel bigger and more beautiful than I'd imagined.
A huge thank-you to our vendors - Saldare & White Wall Loft - and everyone who helped bring this celebration to life. And to every single person who walked through our doors: thank you for making the effort, for participating, and for being part of this memory.
I may have created Petals & Pages because I love books, but nights like this remind me that the people who love them are what make a bookstore truly magical. 🥹🩷🧡 To the stars who listen, the dreams that are answered, and the readers who make it all worthwhile. 🌙✨ xoxoxox
