Many people have been asking how The Big Pickle did during the Qury Fire.

The Big Pickle sat right in the middle of the fire area, and we feel incredibly fortunate to say that the property came through it with only minor damage.

Some of the grassy areas were burned, but those will come back quickly this spring. In many ways, the fire actually helped clear out a lot of brush and debris that had been building up over the years.

We did lose some trees on the western slope, but many of them appear like they will survive. The area also has us thinking about some exciting new ideas for how we can shape that part of the property moving forward.

We’re extremely grateful to the firefighters and everyone who worked tirelessly to protect the area. Their work made a huge difference.

Thank you to everyone who checked in on us — we appreciate the support more than you know!

The Big Pickle is still here, still standing, and we’re looking forward to what comes next!
